1. Siamese Dream 2. MCIS 3. Pisces 4. Machina 1 5. Gish 6. Adore 7. Zwan 8. Machina 2
Everything else is tied for last
The song off that Batman soundtrack still rips as well

I’m also tempted to rank Mellon Collie #1 since it has some of my favorite SP tracks, but there is just a little too much filler.

From what I recall the tour with Manson wasn't able to sell out the small sheds a couple of years ago, and that was with Jimmy. I just think the SP brand has already been dragged through the mud so much even before the shenanigans of this week. Yes, but that wasn't billed/hyped as any sort of reunion tour. Axl toured his version of GnR to death, and that didn't seem to have any sort of ill effect on the super hyped initial run of reunion dates. To suggest that James Iha has the same type of star power as Slash seems like a bit of a miscalculation.

Even by Billy standards the lyrics on Machina are cringe. Listening now and there’s just so many clunky awkward lines

Songs that used to rip the most live but unclear if they still rip without D'arcy
1. Quiet 2. Zero 3. Soma 4. Rocket 5. I Am One
Zero is a really corny song and I don't think it would work for me without D'Arcy on backing vocals

There was 10+ years of my life where I went around saying that that was my favorite song period.

If Billy was serious about a "massive setlist" we could be looking at 2.5- 3 hour sets.

So this one won't work for me in the current setup.

I still want to hear Zero.
Hopefully they decide to skip Everlasting Gaze. That song was dumb even when it came out.

I'm only a casual fan anyway but their Columbus date is the same day I go see David Byrne in Dayton.

Also a casual fan, always absolutely loved the singles but never went out of my way to dig into an album, where should I start?

Machina is/was a great album It's the definition of overproduced. I really hope the deluxe edition eventually comes out because I want to hear versions of those songs that haven't had all the life polished out of them. Find a bootleg from the Arising! tour and compare "Virex" with the song it eventually morphed into, "The Imploding Voice."

Adore would’ve been a really good album if the two best songs from that era were actually on Adore instead of soundtracks for Lost Highway and Batman Forever.

Find a bootleg from the Arising! tour and compare "Virex" with the song it eventually morphed into, "The Imploding Voice." All of the albums after Gish are totally overproduced though. That's part of the goofy charm to me - where Billy needs to layer his voice 10 times and then add like another dozen guitar layers (presumably to make sure it's just him and not James). I feel like that's a core part of the SP value proposition. I think that's also why the live shows were hit or miss - they needed to play off of emotion and couldn't layer things. So depending on who was high or having a hissy fit that day the show could be great or horrible.
