Sry. I noticed after I posted. I was hoping that going back and adding the space would wipe out the notification.

2020 Shows:
Modern Nature (Olden Yolk / Dida Pelled) - New York, Rough Trade Frances Quinlan (NOIA) - New York, Sultan Room William Tyler / Steve Gunn (Garcia Peoples) feat. Yo La Tengo - New York, Union Pool Philip Glass Ensemble (play Music in 12 Parts, 7-9) - New York, Le Poisson Rouge U.S. Girls (JAB) - New York, The Dance Real Estate - New York, Broken Coconut (fka Other Music)
The Tyler/Gunn/GP/YLT extravaganza was def the highlight, but was closely followed by the PGE afternoon show that got me home by 8:00pm.
Also, oddly, both of the two most recent venues - the Dance and the restaurant in Other Music's old space - have since gone out of business. Really hoping the Stages stimulus keeps LPR and Union Pool, two of NYC's best indie venues, afloat.

Forgot to post my Xmas eve memory from 4 or 5 years ago, got to see Hannibal Buress and Amy Schumer at Beat Kitchen. The surprise guests were John Mulaney (during the very brief period when his show was on NBC) and Deon Cole. Pretty great show for $25 This was an incredible show. So much fun.

I was going to go to see a free Octo OCta b2b Eris Drew set but it was on a work night and scheduled to go until like 2:30 am, and no one was interested in going with me so I bailed. Probably would have just gone for it if I had known the world was like two months from falling to shit

A year ago I saw The Jesus Lizard in Nashville. My girlfriend was a sport and went with me, even though she prefers stuff like The Indigo Girls, Brandi Carlile, Lake Street Dive, etc. Afterwards, she said, "the lead singer looked like he was going to have a heart attack at times."

on this day in 1996, i saw a bunch of new jersey hardcore/punk/ska bands with some friends who were curiously eager to leave early. i think there were 7-8 bands on the bill and we only saw 4. then two years ago, i saw ratboys at sleeping village.
i'm in my longest show-less streak since 1994. and my record-keeping wasn't great then, so i'm sure i saw something.
