Since it's still going to be a long while before we get to see shows in person live again, I started this thread to remember the anniversaries of past shows we enjoyed. Since pretty much these reminders are the only useful purpose for facebook for me at this point.
Yesterday was the 5 year anniversary of the double Deerhunter show night at Thalia. That was a good time.

Nine years ago today I was at MSG for MMJ/Band of Horses. I met my friend Beth there at a postgame at Stout and we've been great pals since. The show was Circuital era, so just ok, nothing too special outside of a Gil Scott-Heron cover. There was a tripped out naked dude crowdsurfing and a girl on the rail in a bunny hat who had such a strong funk to her people still talk about it. You can see me in the Brooklyn Vegan photos.
Ten years ago on the 11th I was at Bowery Ballroom for Phosphorescent. He brought a little dog onstage with him for the encore and the dog was freaking out. Brooklyn Phos was weird.

My mom asked me to find a photo from a couple years ago of my nephew and I came across pics from the boygenius show we all went to and it made me happy but also very sad.

Loool my closest anniversary is also Phosphorescent - two years ago yesterday I saw him and Liz Cooper at Brooklyn Steel. Most memorable part for me was how great the Liz Cooper opening set was. Just searched through the Reviews thread and here's what I said back then:
"Phosphorescent was stellar last night at Brooklyn Steel. I waltzed to the stage left rail despite only showing up 5 minutes into the opener. Speaking of that, Liz Cooper and the Stampede was fuckin' unbelievable. Most fun I've had during an opening set probably all year. Their record is good, but it doesn't nearly capture their live energy - definitely check them out if they come to town.
New Phossy songs sounded lovely, especially "Around The Horn" and a solo "C'est La Vie Pt. 2" - there were WAY too many talkers close to the stage during the rest of the new stuff tho. Very frustrating. But a great night overall! Still played about half of Muchacho and even got "Joe Tex These Taming Blues" which made me very happy."

Not an anniversary, but the last time I was able to hang out with any friends from Chicago or Kentucky was an October 2019 Vampire Weekend show at Red Rocks where my friend and I ended up front row. We typically do a group trip every year and they all came out to visit me since my wife was 8 months pregnant at the time and I didn't feel comfortable traveling. Came up in a conversation the other day. Depressing that it's been that long.

yesterday was the 19 year anniversary of q101s twisted 8. every band, especially 311, played too long so blink had a very abbreviated set.

This week is anniversary of Yeezys show and when I saw Morrissey in 2011. We got there very early and of course for Morrissey there's already a line by 10 am. Some lady bought us bread thinking we were homeless all bundled up on the sidewalk.

today is the 7 year anniversary of the pitchfork review launch party, a publication that no longer exists, with waxahatchee and mutual benefit in brooklyn at the converse sponsored venue. that was the second time i saw waxahatchee (first time solo). first time was full band opening for the babies at glasslands a couple months earlier, and then i saw her again headlining glasslands the next month with the band. edit: pic from the 3rd waxahatchee show https://www.instagram.com/p/jijqqyK_UT

Did you see the Yeezus tour? If so, yes. The Life of Pablo tour, when I saw you at the Allstate, was an October show.

I picked up StevieG from O’Hare once. On the drive back, we passed a huge Burlington Coat Factory and StevieG asked if that was the Burlington Bar.

I feel like December 2013 was a good time for arena shows. Yeezus (want to say I went both nights) and also Drake doing nothing was the same and IIRC as I was leaving the Drake show I learned beyonce had surprise released beyonce and then saw her the next night.

Two shows at the UC with Kendrick Lamar opening. Seeing it in Houston with LX and markdurr is a definite “concert memory”

My phone lock screen random memory today is when me and BRBR saw Dixie Chicks at Tinley Park and most of the photos are selfies I took in front of the Guy Fieri food truck.

At that Kanye Yeezy show me and I think LX? said what's up to Andrew Barber in the lobby who gave us handshake hugs thinking he knew us right as Young Chop was walking by and so Young Chop came over and gave me the handshake hug assuming I was friends with Andrew Barber.

I saw the Yeezus tour when it hit KC on 12/03/13. Place was maybe less than 1/2 full. This was a YOLO deal for me, I drove up from Columbia and bought a ticket from a dude outside for $50. I'm glad I did, show was very cool. (a freakin' mountain!!)

That’s actually from a press conference, not a concert. You can tell from the two podiums.

The ole TK tells me that I was in Toronto 12 years ago for a quadruple bill headlined by Metric.
The venue was out in the boonies, but the venue did provide transit to/from downtown in the form of a school bus.

It appears I have never been to a show on December 14th. I've been to shows twice on December 12th however:
1996: STP with Local H at the Rosemont Horizon 2017: The National at Civic Opera House
