Hopped on a plane to see Aphex Twin @ Day for Night in Houston 4 years ago today That was a huge factor in getting me to go to that fest as well. I ultimately only saw half of Aphex's set because I decided to see John Carpenter day-of, and I'm glad I did, because he was fucking great.

Half a Nine Inch Nails set before it got rained out at Day for Night 2017. And yeah, tomorrow is one year since D4N 2016.
Miss that festival so much. Wish the promoter wasn't a horrible human.

He is still on my bucket list. but....why? I was a little too tall Could've used a few pounds Tight pants points hardly renown She was a black-haired beauty with big dark eyes And points all her own sitting way up high Way up firm and high Out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy Out in the back seat of my '60 Chevy Workin' on mysteries without any clues Workin' on our night moves Tryin' to make some front page drive-in news Workin' on our night moves In the summertime In the sweet summertime We weren't in love, oh no, far from it We weren't searchin' for some pie in the sky summit We were just young and restless and bored Livin' by the sword And we'd steal away every chance we could To the backroom, to the alley or the trusty woods I used her, she used me But neither one cared We were gettin' our share Workin' on our night moves Tryin' to lose the awkward teenage blues Workin' on our night moves And it was summertime Sweet summertime summertime And oh the wonder We felt the lightning And we waited on the thunder Waited on the thunder I awoke last night to the sound of thunder How far off I sat and wondered Started humming a song from 1962 Ain't it funny how the night moves When you just don't seem to have as much to lose Strange how the night moves With autumn closing in

Me and PH went to the last Chicago Bob Seger show and it was incredibly sick in spite of but also because of the insanely bad Steven Segal sax man named Alto Reed

I was also with airportman at the final stop (Lincoln Hall) of the Wilco shrinking tour. He was merely an airportboy. You gave me your complimentary cookie that night!

Only shows my mom holds in higher regard than Seger @ Poplar Creek in the 80s is Dire Straits (also at Poplar Creek in the 80s) and David Byrne (Auditorium last year and, for reasons completely incidental yet no less ridiculous and true, next to Krentist)

7 years ago today, Yeezus, still one of my all time top 5 favorite concerts. And day 2 of Day For Night 2017, and Day 1 of Day For Night 2016. Pretty good for mid-December.

facebook tells me 9 years ago today i saw bob seger. According to my TK, I saw Bob Seger in early December 2006. I seem to remember him sounding pretty bad. More notably, the opening act was Eric Church. Not very impressed with him, either. EDIT: I should also mention the awful "sing-along" fans all around us.

Today in 2016 was the "set" by Bjork at Day For Night, where she may or may not have been on stage part of the time, or hiding behind a plant or something.
Was that the same year where the temperature outside dropped like 20 degrees during RTJ? Can't remember which year that was.

A day late, but on 12/17/1996 I saw Tool at the Huntridge Theater in Las Vegas. Got Maynard to sign a CD for my friend Jim after the show and he wrote "To Gym".

When I saw him a few years ago with my folks, he changed the keys of certain songs like 'Mainstreet', possibly b/c of voice issues. He sounded OK I thought.

Bob Seger sounded fine at United Center and for the songs where he had to actually have range he sat down. I can post videos but I would have to warn everyone that I am very clearly one of the "awful sing along fans" in the videos

the only time I saw seger and the silver bullet band was at the rosemizon in spring 1996, a couple of weeks after ministry at the aragon, and wayne shorter at park west, and before tito puente at viva chicago.
the opener for seger was a band apparently called bonepony, which were never heard from again.

also, like ten15, I don't really like bob seger at all, but probably not to the extent that ten15 hates him.
