Thanks to Javy and the Pittsburgh Little Leaguers I have thought about this play quite a lot. The Orioles were extremely bad that year but even with that in mind I think this is a worse play.

I guess I've never tried for All-Star game tickets before, but I was not expecting the cheapest would be almost $300 for the top row of the upper deck. Demand seems pretty high so I'm not expecting the price to drop too much. Oh well.

I've seen Giolito's last two starts in person and I just bought tickets to see his next two as well. My seniors are basically done with school so I think this is my life now i'm going to the games june 5 and 10 but i don't know that i'll be comfortable going if/when they remove capacity restrictions.  not necessarily bc of covid but bc holy shit that will be an overwhelming number of people after 15+ months of shutdown. |

in terms of rarities, i was at the padres/phillies doubleheader in 1993 that ended at like 4:41am. although, we left during the 2nd rain delay around 10:30. i knew someone who went from a bar down to the stadium at like 1am, strolled right in cause the ushers had all been sent home, and saw the entire second game.

we're taking our babby to her first sox game june 5. i have no idea if it will be great or a shit show but might as well give it a shot. Let me know how this goes, debating whether or not I want to try doing this this year as well. this was pretty enjoyable, no big hassles. put the babby in a carrier and brought a hand-held fan. luckily, unused seats aren't zip-tied anymore, so we were able to sneak up to some shade since it was so hot saturday. next time i think i'd bring babby headphones, as i forgot how loud games are. i thought she'd freak out due to the noise but she had a great time as usual. |
