I don't know, "Wrigleyville" isn't an identity most of my Cubs fan friends are striving for.

Either of the t-shirts in the second image (light blue and grey versions) would have made better jerseys than the one they went with

Either of the t-shirts in the second image (light blue and grey versions) would have made better jerseys than the one they went with i haven't looked at other cities, but between wrigleyville and the white sox southside, it seems like there must be some mandate to have a neighborhood across the front? but yeah, the c thing is cool enough and the emblem that is a patch on the jersey seems cool too.

Boston went with the Boston Marathon themed uniform and Miami went with a more vibrant color scheme. I think there's only been 4 announced so far? Both Chicago teams went the neighborhood route, and I guess it makes sense in the context of how fans view both teams.
The Chicago municipal logo would have been a cool look on a jersey - something like the Chicago Theatre logo or something.

Miami’s, I believe, are inspired by a Cuban team?

Admittedly didn't look into the background, but that sounds right.

Miami’s, I believe, are inspired by a Cuban team? yeah, the sugar kings were the reds' triple-a affiliate in havana in the 1950s. pinstripes and font are from those jerseys.

I don't hate the Cubs uniforms but they're literally the Rays uniforms

Dude survived cancer and regularly visits with children recovering from cancer. He’s at greater risk and also putting others who can’t get the vaccine at greater risk. Solid guy.
I’m going to bet he had no issue with the drugs he was prescribed during his cancer treatment.

I am officially volunteering for All-Star weekend Two of the options are attending the draft as a seat filler or being a stand-in for a player during rehearsals for the announcements before the HR Derby and the actual game. It's like buying concert tickets where I'll get a chance to log-in and select my first preference, so fingers crossed. Also I get a hat, a shirt, two tickets to a game of my choice and a bunch of commemorative stuff for the game. This was a good decision.

Good: Cubs sweep Cardinals!
Bad: Heyward is an anti-vaxxer too!

Not sure about that. My brother in law works for Lurie’s part time in a non-medical capacity but in the actual hospital. He is not vaccinated because “Jesus” and he still works there.

In other baseball news, I attended two games at Progressive Field (Mariners were in town) while I was in Cleveland to move my stepson back home for the summer. I hadn't been to a ballgame since October 2018 and it was a blast. The $2 pregame beers didn't hurt.

Yeah man, did you meet him at Lolla 2015? He's 19 now. Took a gap year and accepted an Americorps assignment working in Cleveland public schools. He has a summer internship working in the office of a New York state assemblymember, then he's off to University at Buffalo for freshman year. Crazy.

I did NOT, but generally remember him. I’ve been to one day of Lolla in the past 10 years or so. Life/making sure I don’t die really got in the way of music festivals.
That’s all awesome to hear. Sounds like the young man is on a good path.
