You should pick up his vinyl box set one of these times when it drops to $29 and find out. (note that I have not done this myself, but I've been tempted a few times)

Garth Brooks is the highest selling artist of the past 30 years and maybe ever in history of all time music

It’s the only Garth Brooks song I know. how about The Thunder Rolls? I think that, and The Dance (which I do not care for) are the only other two I know.

If you've gone to a karaoke bar you have heard "friends in low places"
Classic Garth Brooks production hasn't exactly held up 100% if you are a new listener prob cuz his glory days were kind of the grodiest period for country production but he's written some absolute bangers and is a consummate entertainer. Could very easily recommend anything from the first half of his career altho he's made it about as hard as possible to find. I've heard almost nothing post Chris Gaines tho.

In the interest of full transparency I will confess that I just learned 10 minutes ago he was not the Brooks in Brooks & Dunn.

My dad likes some country music, my mom does not. Garth Brooks (specifically Ropin the Wind and In Pieces) and Marty Robbins were music for when we were on a "guys trip" (the hardware or auto parts store)

I voted no on garth brooks. I would vote yes on kix brooks, and vote present or abstain on ronnie dunn.
here are trapper kept 1990's male country "hat" acts musically better than their contemporary and competitor garth brooks, more or less in order from best to not as good, but better than garth: marty stuart, alan jackson, hal ketchum, clint black, travis tritt, joe diffie, ty herndon [moved up since coming out], billy dean, ricky van shelton, john michael montgomery, mark chesnutt, john berry, aaron tippin, collin raye

He is good for playing the Biden inauguration and turning down the Trump inauguration.
Prob pissed off a lot of MAGA folk by doing that, too.
