I hope nothing great is before 3pm on Friday since I probably won't be able to take off work. I'd love to catch Dehd Dogleg, who's one of the bands I want to see the most

For GA+, where's the "elevated viewing platform" of the Blue Stage? Is that inside the PLUS area across the Blue Stage? It's over by the PLUS area...so it's raised, but it's not close to the stage.

Yeah I think I remember where that it is now. They had lawn chairs scattered around that area too

didn't they used to open for just about every show at metro? even I've seen them there once.

I'm already upset about being too hungover to make it in in time for the Special Interest set Sunday morning.

I'd maybe show up for Saturday if I could win a free ticket, but being the week before Riot keeps me from committing any more than that.

Most of these September fests in America will be back to their usual dates in 2022

And, only b/c of Annie.

Caroline Polachek closing the Blue would be A+

I can't picture Caroline closing the Blue stage, but given the rest of the lineup, you're most likely right

I can't picture Caroline closing the Blue stage, but given the rest of the lineup, you're most likely right just seems to make sense but yeah, one of them always winds up a little unpredictable. maybe cat power could shift there, not sure who else. yaeji is a little high billed to close the blue on friday, but it just makes too much sense. jay elec just seems to make sense too.

Outside of Danny, Phoebe, and Waxahatchee everyone I see will be for my first time. Can't remember the last time I went to a fest that was like that.

Based on that clashfinder I would be splitting a lot of sets, but i've been doing more of that at Pitchfork the last few years and it's so easy to do it with the fests layout

I've only seen 17 out of the 42 acts playing. So that's nice.

I’m really bummed that this lineup is good. Was hoping to have an excuse to not go anywhere ever again. I’ll likely be there all 3 days.
That potential Thundercat/Yves Tumor conflict sucks. Ideal scenario is an Yves show at the Bottle Saturday night, though I don’t know if I’ll be comfortable being indoors for a show at that point.

Sunday night may convince me to get out of the house. I’ve somehow never seen Badu before.

Daaamn I would be all over this if I was still in Chicago, but I've seen all the Fri/Sat headliners and subheadliners too many times to make this trip worth it. Sunday looks amazing, i.e. I've never seen most of the interesting artists that day, but *prepares to be flamed* I've never actually listened to Erykah Badu. Open to any/all recs tho!

Cassandra Jenkins would have been an all-time "why am I standing in this 90 degree, shadeless field" Pitchfork set if this was happening in July

Then probably Mama's Gun?
The only time I've seen Badu was at Lolla. She came out pretty late and I didn't stay for the whole thing since we were planning on splitting sets. A full headlining set should be pretty cool.

I was there for this, too. But I stayed until the end, and didn't catch mutemath until they played the jbtv studio a couple of yrs later.

Remember when they gave Beck's Morning Phase a 5.7 and still had him headline?
