Phoebe Bridgers switching her tour to only outdoor venues and asking venues to requite vaccination or, if not permitted by law, at least a negative test. I assume Chicago doesn't have any laws in place preventing vaxx mamdates, so I wonder if Pitchfork will comply and update their policy.

My understanding* is that unless you are exhibiting symptoms, there is no reason for vaccinated people to get tested, especially if you are wearing masks while in public spaces, so not sure this would be needed. *This is based on my own experience getting tested after a certain boarder on here came forward post Lolla, as well as an in depth convo a buddy of mine had with a practitioner at Howard Brown after he came back from Rolling Loud Miami. I am prepared to be wrong here though as things have changed in the past few weeks. |

I imagine that policy made sense before Delta, but it seems to me the prevalence of breakthrough cases have begun to contradict previous advice - not to mention the fact that you can be contagious while asymptomatic.

Right but the breakthrough rate is still small enough where me, a relatively healthy late 20-something male, isn’t concerned by it. I understand that my experience is not the norm, but I still like those odds.
Frankly if we can’t do vaccine mandates we probably should just shut everything down again. I dunno what else to say to people at this point

Acknowledging that petty cheap shot for what it is.....
I have more concerns about getting this thing from being on a CTA train or eating in a restaurant than I do attending an outdoor music festival (or even an indoor music venue) with a vaxx policy.

black midi have been postponing shows this week because one of them need vocal rest, it seems. since they're coming to the us just for this show, seems like they could wind up cancelling. If they have to cancel them replace with them with Turnstile they'll already be in town |
