God damn why do we have to wait 7 more days after that cliffhanger.... Very much doubt Jamie dies like that. Wouldn't be surprised if Dany kills him and that drives the rift between her and Tyrion even more, though I'd be disappointed if that's the death Jamie gets.

I mean, the battle at the end of the episode was fantastic, top-notch stuff. Everything before was really freaking dull, especially compared to the perfection that was last week.
Jaime isn't dead. He's the richest, most critical character on the show right now. BUT, Tyrion will *think* he's dead which will obviously come into play later on.

Tyrion is gonna know if Jaimie is alive or dead in the next episode. When he resurfaces there's still gonna be a big ass dragon mere feet from him. My bet is he's taking prisoner by Dany. By some miracle is brought a little to her side by persuasion from Tyrion and upon coming back to Kings Landing has to make the decision between Cerci and his brother

yeah that could work too. FWIW, I don't watch the next episode previews so if that's hinted at there then it's beyond me.

Nah I didn't see the preview either. Just don't know how he could resurface without being noticed. Did anybody see Bronn in the water after? Didn't really spot him

He's there, you can see him fall in with Jaime. But you're right, he'll have to surface in front of them, I didn't quite think it through. and I don't think he'll surface just to be killed because then what's the point? so yeah, can't see it happening any other way than what you said.

just in general cause the rest of the internet is being v dumb, but neither jaime nor bronn is dying yet.
there's too much of a perfect arc for HBO to let go of -- when they're both brought to the surface and Tyrion has to decide on either defending his brother and best friend or serving his queen.
(he'll probably stop Dany from executing them but recommend imprisonment to save face, then sneak them out at night to repay the favor)

Blown away by some, all, theories here There is absolutely NO way Dany lets Jamie live after he tried to stick a spear in her. She is merciless with her enemies.
One of two things are going to happen
1. Jamie and Bronn get swept away unnoticed (except Tyrion who won't say anything) like Davos at Blackwater and Theon recently
2. They emerge and get killed, which I doubt since it'd be a lame death when Jamie could've had a cool one with Drogon, so very much feeling the first 1.
There is no scenario where Dany let's Jamie live. The divide between her and Tyrion is growing, she doesn't trust him as much anymore so she especially won't save Jamie, especially with the whole trying to kill her thing minutes before.

acting like dany has somehow devolved into only binary choices doesn't make much sense to me, considering the past 2 or 3 episodes have been about her trying to balance the politics of westeros and straight up blood & fire and not giving into tyrion's pacifism nor olenna's 'dragon' rant.
she might go full homicidal maniac by the king's landing battle but there's nothing yet that suggests she's just gonna kill everyone she sees (without logic. the battle this time was about stopping the gold from flowing to the banks. not killing lannisters)
there's a perfectly logical argument for tyrion to make to keep the opponents alive as leverage against cersei, while also being able to save his brother in the process.
also worth noting that we have Jorah on his return trip to be the other voice of reason, who would also probably argue imprisonment over execution

Time and time again we've seen him destroy her enemies never once giving mercy (with the exception of the Dothraki but even then she killed all the leaders and needed the army. It wasn't about killing Lannisters but it is - The number 2 of the army she's against
- A man who just tried to kill her
- The man who killed her father and guaranteed her family wouldn't hold the throne for decades
- A man who has a history of turning against people he swears allegiances to (Aerys)
I agree that keeping Jamie (not Bronn, he's fucked) isn't the worst idea. But does Dany really need leveraging here? And will she listen to Tyrion now that he's on her shit list? Not only that, I don't think we have enough episodes left for Jamie to be a prisoner, then be rescued, then go back to Cersei, because there's no way his arc with her is over. Still upset that they took basically three seasons for the war of five kings then the last big one is only going to be like 10 episodes since we need to leave some for the white walker invasion, unless they do it simultaneously which it looks like it might be, idk.
even less likely is Jamie turning to help Dany. He definitely had flashbacks to the Mad King after seeing Drogon and probably wants her gone more than ever after seeing that.
imo what's most likely to happen
1. jamie and bronn get swept away 2. jamie and bronn get captured and killed 3. jamie and bron gets captured, jamie is kept prisoner and bronn gets killed 4. jamie fights for dany, bronn gets killed 5. jamie and bronn drown and die

Jaime is not getting killed rn, Bronn definitely could.
Actually, further credence to the theory that they're pulled out of the water: it gives Tyrion and Bronn a change to reunite, which then opens up Bronn to get axed. I could see him going but Jaime staying.

Day late, but.
I agree with the commentary here related to the plot points revealed in this past episode.
Am I the only one, though, that thinks the battle scenes (naval one from last week, and the whole dragon one this week) have been really shitty CGI? IMO they've been comically bad and have taken away from the suspense and intrigue of the plot progression. Instead of hiring 500 actors to actually fill the battlefields shoving shields into the ground, maybe spend some time and money on CGI'ing the actual fights?
I'll show myself out.

The CG is better than it's been in the past (that colosseum episode a few seasons back was horrendous). Some of the CG'd landscapes and buildings have also looking noticeably fake lately but it's the type of thing I'm willing to overlook when everything else is good, and it's been *good enough*
