I know it's not rational, but I don't feel a thing no matter how many people are killed on this show. But something about seeing a dragon die on screen gets me right in the feels every time.
I've been feeling this way all day it's honestly a little pathetic lmao |

I've been feeling this way all day it's honestly a little pathetic lmao And the way they portrayed it was so brutal. The shot of Meleys and Rhaenys bonding before going off to battle; and then Meleys looking back at Rhaenys one last time before Vhagar took her life, absolutely gut wrenching. |

Yep. Though I'm more sad about Sunfyre. Meleys seemed to know what was coming and expected it. Sunfyre just seemed like a golden retriever who thought he was going to go play at the park or something. The books also describe him and Aegon as having the closest bond between any rider and dragon and the way he booped Aegon was adorable. Made it all more tragic. |

I thought the finale was weak but otherwise it was a really solid season of television. Of course I will have forgotten everything by the time S3 comes out in 2026 or whatever.

Finally got around to watching the finale. Great episode undone by a really sloppy last 5 or so minutes. Just commit to one storyline and have that be the ending for the season, not this weird montage of every open-ended plot. I overall enjoyed the season, but I can't say I'm super excited for another one at this point.
