I've never really cared that much about Radiohead and nothing I've heard from The Smile has really moved me to really check it out. I can also see myself skipping JaMC and staying at the NTS stage or heading over to Dice and just dancing. That's probably the most frustratingly scheduled day for me. Bummer conflicts and then a lot of time where there isn't anything I feel too strongly about

I have the Wednesday show with Phoenix too, but that's all going to depend on my flight being on time and getting out of the airport relatively quickly

So I want to make sure I'm reading everything right, we do not need a negative Covid test to enter Spain (showing proof of vax), but we do need one to return to the US. Is that correct? (and why does the US even require that now when it's basically a free-for-all in every other way with covid now)

For entry into Spain you do need to fill out a STPH form. I started mine but cant finish it until 3 days before my flight. I assume that's when i'll be able to enter my vaccination info. |

(and why does the US even require that now when it's basically a free-for-all in every other way with covid now) if you are flying nonstop from the US to spain, i think you need to get a code from the Spain Travel Health portal - www.spth.gob.es. and, yes, you need to test negative before returning to the US. airlines are not really uniform about how that's handled, but typically you show proof when checking in at the airport before getting a boarding pass. when i returned in march, there was also a declaration to fill out at the gate. |

having been back and forth to Canada a ton over the last month, can confirm you need a negative Covid test to return to the US, though it can be a rapid test but has to be verified by someone, can't just upload a pic of a home test. I think you can schedule someone to watch you take a home test though virtually but no idea how that works. I've had to enter it on my airline app (United for some, Air Canada for some others) when checking in, haven't had to show it at the airport.
even Canada isn't requiring it to enter. No idea why the US still is. its been annoying. there's places here specifically for travel tests and when I got one the other week they barely even swabbed my nose

And what makes our policy even more ridiculous is it only applies to flights. Cruises are exempt lol. If more Americans flew internationally I think the public pressure to end the policy would be massive.

I think you can schedule someone to watch you take a home test though virtually but no idea how that works. the testing kits have a URL that you go to and then it hooks you up with a nurse who guides you through the steps, watches you perform the test, and then confirms the result. i think it's easier to just go to a testing center as they're about the same price. |

The National played their first show since before the pandemic in Pamplona last night and the setlist is pretty good. It kinda looks like the setlists from before I Am Easy to Find with only Rylan and Light Years on there. Also 3 new songs. I wasn't originally planning to see them in Spain, but I bought a ticket to see Warpaint in Detroit in July and cleared up that conflict and this setlist of bangers is really selling me |
