I got into comfort mode a lot this year and listened to albums near the top of my list instead of exploring as much as I normally would...so, if looking at my list, you see anything that seems on brand for me that is blatantly missing, let me know, in case I just didn't check it out. You would be very into Stay Inside, they have put out 2 great eps the last few years. I think you'd really like Spielbergs too if you haven't checked it out yet |

Good to see some lists, nice looking lists. Polling will close when I post in the other thread saying polling is closed and Mookie should lock the thread, which will be when I’m at my desk sometime around noon CST. Rollout will be Tuesday afternoon starting around 1pm CST- no gimmick this time for better or worse so it’ll go pretty quick, especially since I am funemployed.

I've been spending $120 a year wrong if you people don't put American Heartbreak into the top 10 I swear to fucking god So this is easily my most listened album of the year and I love it and I'm ridiculously impressed by just how many good songs are on it, but I also think if he cut it down just a bit to be tighter and kept a few tracks as b-sides it'd be an all timer album. Like 80% if it is fantastic and the other 20% is still fine but fine keeps it from perfect. I still put it at 2 and ironically put another double album over it but whatever |

I gotta hand it to Zach Bryan for making an album with 90 songs where zero of them are interesting Yeah I really tried with this one, but both times I found myself zoning out only like 1/3 of the way in. Happy that another stripped-back songwriter is making waves in the country world, but something about it isn't clicking for me just yet. |

I admit I'm warming up to Big Thief a little, I like a few of the songs I've heard on Dragon New Mountain Warm Flower Unicorn I Believe in You.
I don't have a best-of albums list. Maybe it has to do with getting older, or format changes - streaming vs. owning - but it's gotten harder for me to keep up with new music. I liked Chat Pile and Spiritworld.
