I've been working for like a decade to make this a place that stans Sondre Lerche but y'all aren't cooperating. What's his best album? I'll give it a shot Here's a playlist I put together for him: Like Mookie said, his last 3-4 albums have all been really good. I have a soft spot for Duper Sessions, too.

This is worth checking out as well:
I started listening to him and attending his live shows back in 2004-ish and it's been such a delight to see his artistic and creative growth.

Lil preview of my Top 100 Songs list. Spoiler alert: I limited myself to 5 Big Thief songs - but 4 of them made the top 25.

Working on formatting to get this thing up and running this afternoon, but wanted to pop in and say since the songs list is going that I’m totally open to changing the rule to “just be on a 2022 album”. I don’t know how, uh, pure you people wanna be about this but if it’s easier we can just do that

Curious because I have two notable ones I guess but what are everyone’s critically acclaimed albums that they really didn’t care for/couldn’t understand the hype for?
For me it was the new Beyoncé (I get the hype is because it’s Beyoncé) and Black Country New Road

I wanted to like it - and probably gave it 3-4 listens - but I can't remember a single melody / hook from it. Just really not for me.

The Beyonce album is a great listen that I basically never feel compelled to return to. Can't justify putting an album that I sense has no staying power that high on my list. Feel free to dig this up when it's in my top 10 of the 2020s.

I'd bet I'll end up listening to it more than any 2022 album over the next 5-6 years just from that alone.

Curious because I have two notable ones I guess but what are everyone’s critically acclaimed albums that they really didn’t care for/couldn’t understand the hype for? The Smile. Like Beyonce, I understand the hype, but the songs I heard did not grab my attention at all.
