No Fleetwood Mac, pretty shocking. Still waiting for him to confirm if Tony Bennett will be there or not Phil Collins still in play tho...

still say Bruce is the most likely option for a dadrock headliner they haven't tapped yet that's played the other majors
edit: i guess elton or billy maybe?

Isn't Bruce in the midst of a massive run on Broadway that just got extended until June? I wouldn't be surprised if it got extended again. I'd be down with Elton or Billy, or even the two of them playing together which wasn't an uncommon thing from my understanding. Billy Joel would 100% get my mom to Lolla which actually sounds great so I really want that to happen now.

Pearl Jam is basically dad rock at this point. If Eddie can resist the urge to play Wrigley again next summer then they would make sense.

Phil Collins * Pearl Jam * Kanye West * Florence + Machine * Arctic Monkeys * Gorillaz * The Chainsmokers * Halsey (or Imagine Dragons)

$('#id1 p').each(function() { var text = $(this).text(); $(this).text(text.replace('Phil Collins', 'Genesis')); });

I'm fairly certain that we would get Jay-Z over Eminem

I feel this is the year Jay-Z finally plays Lolla
Kendrick is also due to come back
Honest question who is bigger at this point, probably Kendrick right?

Why? That's a perfectly plausible Lollapalooza lineup in 2018. In fact, one could argue that would be more popular than last years, especially in their target 16-24 demo.

I can't see them booking The Weeknd after what went down this year.

I can't see them booking The Weeknd after what went down this year. says CoS. I'd take that with a grain of salt tbh. In fact, one could argue they were given shit info and used that lame ass story as an excuse for said bad intel.

Plus The Killers vs Blink made zero sense where as The Weeknd vs Blink would have been logical.

Not saying you're wrong but searching online I could only find CoS articles and articles that used CoS as a source (none that are very large/known sites). Can you find any other sites?
Also, keep in mind, I was told hours before the Lolla 2015 lineup dropped that Drake was in and then out of the blue Paul is on the lineup. Shit happens but I'd bet they'd book either of them again if given the chance.

Correct. I could absolutely see 1975 headlining the north one night.
Also, 2016 only had RHCP unless you consider Radiohead and LCD rock n' fuckin' roll. Moving the fest to four days seriously changed everything. It's the final nail in the coffin in hoping they'd continue to try and appeal to anyone older than 28.

Arcade Fire, The Killers, Muse and Blink 182 could all be classified as "rock bands" And of course Radiohead is a rock band.

Sure they're not NIN or Sabbath, but 7 of the last 16 headliners have been rock groups. Radiohead LCD AF RHCP Muse Killers Blink The XX (not counting them as a "rock" headliner) All of those band appeal to the 28 and older crowd easily
