Yeah I just thought they’d been kind of banished to playing 3pm timeslots at mid-sized fests. Coming out of hiatus should get them 5 PM sets, but if they called the hiatus a break-up they'd be able to do 7 PM sets. Bad move on their part financially |

marr has always stuck to not reuniting. morrissey was vehement about not reuniting like 20 years ago when those rumors seemed to pop up every year. but i guess the offers are getting more lucrative.

The statement on Morrissey's website kind of makes it clear he really wanted the money and is super bitter over it lol Fully expecting a "Morrissey plays The Smiths" cash grab sort of tour in the next year or two |

It is with sincere regret and heavy hearts that Ween must make the decision to step away from the stage for the foreseeable future. This includes next month’s sold-out Chocolate and Cheese 25th Anniversary show at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia. Despite three great shows this summer, it’s become clear that touring and performing is too taxing on Deaner’s mental health to continue. As always, we thank you for the love, dedication and ongoing support.

I just found out (or knew and forgot) that Front 242 announced a farewell tour in February and both dates at the Metro in November have sold out

I was at that show. I think I also saw Dead Sara opening for Muse at the UC several years ago. They didn't really do anything for me.
I saw Linkin Park once a long time ago at Tinley Park, I have zero desire to see this version of the band.

Yeah I was at that Muse show and was mildly interested in Dead Sara at the time but didn't really love their set. I think she sounds great. I didn't have much desire to see LP when Chester was in the band (though I'm sure I eventually would've) and have probably an equally low desire to see them with her (though I'm sure I eventually may). I did, however, used to listen to Hybrid Theory back and forth and back and forth, and pretty much always gave whatever single they were promoting a shot even though a lot of them were corny. Hearing some of those songs again scratched a really nice nostalgia itch and I'm glad they're able to play together again. |

According to Colin Greenwood Radiohead was back together and rehearsing two months ago. Would love to have them come back
Though Colin is apparently going to be playing with Nick Cave on this upcoming tour so probably won't be until after that

There’s also a new Smile album and presumably a tour next year. I’d love more Radiohead music and Radiohead shows though

Looks like Mew may be breaking up next year I kept hoping that Chicago would get added when they were doing an album play tour for And the glass Handed Kites, but then covid happened. I'm glad I got to see them 3 times in such a short time span (at pitchfork music festival, opening for NIN and at the metro) but was hoping the announcement teased yesterday would have been a world tour announcement And with their dates so early in the year, I don't think they're going to be on any festival lineups for next year |
