I'm glad to see Priests so high though, and the write up for that album is quite nice as well. Sucks that Slowdive dropped for them so much. It was no. 2 on their mid-year list.

I like this Paradise Lost album just fine, but I'm surprised to see it finishing so high on some lists. I've enjoyed quite a few of the other metal releases this year a bunch more.

I've enjoyed quite a few of the other metal releases this year a bunch more. it's easily their best in a decade and they're one of the more accessible doom metal bands so it makes a little bit of sense. which lists has it made so far? It was #1 on the Decibel list and made John Darnielle's random little top 10. I haven't looked at most of the other lists yet.

All these lists giving SZA #1 is mind boogling to me. It’s a generic radio hip hop/pop album by an artist who’s previous releases have all gotten mediocre/bad reviews.
The song about pussy and the first track are just pure cringe to me.
Like I’d get if it was just making lists but I’ve seen it as #1 on several.
