I got tix to the Fri and Sun shows in Denver. I thought they were supposed to be in the round but seat map show end stage set up. EDIT: I guess by "360" they just mean open seats behind the stage. Lame. Dang that is kind of a bummer, I thought they could really kill it doing an in the round show Just looked and they have the full upper level open for that too, that's a lot of tickets to move across 3 nights. Most of the arena shows they've been not doing the upper bowl, Nashville looks like it's closed again

Depending on how many shows you're seeing, take that as a sign to gamble on the upper level seats and cross your fingers they've overestimated the market and you get moved down.
edit: typical strategy would be to not even open those highest X-amount of rows / seats behind the stage until the lower/front is filled out, and i would agree that 3 nights sold 360 is a lot of tickets.

Also still hoping to for two GA tickets for either Baltimore night if anyone has any leads. Been patrolling cash or trade pretty hard but not been a lot out there. Probably going to settle for seats soon if I keep having no luck. Caught someone selling two 2 day passes on Stubhub for way cheaper than I've seen anyone else selling them for outside of COT, albeit still over face by a bit. The way the resale market was going I was starting to worry that was my best bet to even get in at all so I pulled the trigger. So we're finally 100% in now for Billyween though I already had a hotel and flight booked anyway Also I watched O Brother Where Art Thou today and that ruled and has me even more excited

Woohoo! Where are you guys staying? Current costume plan is tie dye dustbowl There's this neat looking coffee shop called Good Neighbor and they have a little mini hotel/bed and breakfast above it called guest house, we're staying there. Looks like a really cute place and it's in the Hampden neighborhood which I was told was a cool neighborhood for food and drink. Walking downstairs to a coffee shop in the morning sounded great too. What neighborhood are you in? I was so focused on getting tickets I haven't even thought about costume yet, need to get on that lol

I used to visit friends there when they lived right off Druid Hill park. Golden West is a great lil spot over there as well. Also as a late night option, it's hard to do better than Royal Farms fried chicken.

OK I finally watched O Brother Where Art Thou. It was good! I'll probably watch it again before I go to the show.
No one's going to come to the show dressed as a Klansman, right?
(oh god oh god oh god)

i want to see what all the fuss is about, so i'm debating going to the tulsa show in december even though it's a weeknight 90 minutes up the turnpike.

Set 1 ruled, specially that Gravedigger Gonna Cut You Down and Take the Money and Run.
But then tragedy struck, I started to feel it towards the end of set 1. But my crab cake dinner apparently gave me the worst food poisoning I've ever had in my life. I ended up leaving early and I'm questionable for tonight honestly. Attempting to rally between now and then but I slept like two hours last night and expelled more than I thought possible from my body over the last 13 hours or so and I'll spare further details than that.
So here's hoping. I watched the second half of set 2 on Nugs and seemed sick, I'm ridiculously sad I missed When the Levee Breaks

Noooooooooo
Oh man I'm so sorry. I hope you can make it for tonight! Push fluids!
I had heard T Bone Burnett's tour was bringing him to the area but didn't expect him to show much less sing much less that song. Pretty neat.
When the Levee Breaks was everything. This band is so good at Zeppelin.
Overall I just really admire that the band is willing to do the work to put on an evening like this. Set was cool, costumes were on point, most all of the performers were great (loved Vince Herman as Pappy O'Daniel, he was spot on though it seemed the crowd didn't really know how to react to the political asides and honestly with that crowd... who knows) loved the fire spinner who played the devil, thought the gal on the lyra was pretty great. Tim Blake Nelson was in wonderful voice and Chris Thomas King stole the show a little bit, I thought. Very relieved they didn't touch the Klan subplot. Saw two very spot on John Goodman/Big Dan Teague costumes. Best costume maybe the guy in green pants and a green shirt that said simply, "Pretend I'm A Frog"
Musically, that stretch in the second set was a lot of fun (Creek > Spinning > Planet Caravan > Hide and Seek). Lindsay Lou was rough on Levee though. Alex had some fantastic solos (though I wish the crowd had been more respectful with his solo tune at the center mic, his tone is just so stunning).
Overall, though, kinda felt like last year was a lot more loose and enjoyable? This was obviously a very different production. Curious to see what they'll do next year!

Did LoT survive? ?

I did survive, but I did miss Friday's show unfortunately. I basically barely left my bed except for the bathroom all day Friday and had zero energy. Had to get my doc to call in some prescription strength anti-nasuea medicine and thankfully I had a buddy who came with me who was a gem and made a couple supply runs for me including picking up that prescription while I was stuck inside. It took until yesterday to feel some semblance of normal. I'm home now though thankfully. Friend still got to go the show and had a great time
Friday setlist looked awesome and I'm extremely bummed to have missed it specially having been down the street but I would have probably been miserable trying to force myself to go. Knocking off all of Highway Prayers would have been sweet and I always love the treat of full electric Billy (which I do hope he keeps as a treat but I love to see him bust out every once in a while) so I'm sad to miss the rare appearance of that.
I watched a bit of the livestream before I fell asleep. "Morebud4me" didn't seem like it really worked live but this was the show to try it live if ever so shout out for that. Gild the Lilly is IMO the highlight of that album and seemed like a highlight of that set. Sierra Hull absolutely rips and it's cool to see her playing with the band. And "Nobody's Fault but Mine" sounded like an absolute jam. I fell asleep shortly after that, would have loved to hear the Paranoid and Runnin Down a Dream. Nugs already took down the streams which makes me wonder if they'll upload the audio, last year's halloween never got uploaded, but I came across a rip of it and plan to rewatch soon when I get over the sadness of having missed it all.
Also to add to making this weekend extra not fun, as mentioned we got a really cute and cool hotel that was above a coffee shop. It was a great spot in a really neat part of town and the coffee shop was awesome, in a normal time would be one of my favorite hotels/bnbs I think I've stayed at. BUT, our room happened to have the bathroom across the public hall. It was still a private bathroom for just our room, but to get to it had to leave our room, go across the hall, then unlock the bathroom door with an app. That is not at all an ideal setup for having food poisoning, let me tell you. Although I survived without major public incident at least.

By far the scariest part of the weekend. Glad you are okay! Idk it might seem kind of jaded but I thought night 2 was not that great either. I love the new album but it's kinda snoozy/midtempo for the most part, and they played it pretty straight, no real jams to speak of. And since we've been hearing a lot of those songs for months/years? now it didn't feel super fresh. MORBUD4ME was amusing but yeah the bong looping didn't quite work. Was still cute though. The second half was stronger, picked up the energy quite a bit with Little Maggie, and the Chris Thomas King and Tim Blake Nelson features were both great (especially liked the Band cover). The other covers were all right, Lindsay Lou messed up on "Can't Let Go" (sheesh). Overall I'd say the evening was more interesting than mindblowing? Still glad I went and still plan to go next year!

I would've really liked to have seen that Runnin' Down a Dream cover, looked solid on youtube.
We have BS dates for June, so hopefully the Midwest gets a fair shake over summer and LoT can toss his hands in the air instead of his cookies across the public hall
