I've been half kind of trying to talk my partner into doing NYE in NOLA but it's looking less and less realistic.
Definitely doing both Austin shows next year and after this year I think Asheville Halloween will have to be a yearly thing too after how great this years was.
I saw 7 Billy shows this year which is wild lol. by far the most ive ever seen one artist in a year

What do you think the third Colorado date will be? Another RR date or something like Mission?

I don't think there's any way it'll be another RR date, I don't think they would have held off on announcing plus it's really hard for any act to get 3 nights in a row at Red Rocks anyway. Mission makes a lot of sense but I've also seen that there's a big amphitheater type of venue in town called Fiddler's Green, Tyler Childers announced an extra show there after his Red Rocks shows sold out. I could see that being the one. Apparently 17k capacity so might not be as hard a ticket, and the schedule at that venue is really open |

I believe the date is open at RR and I honestly wouldn't be shocked if it was added - clearly demand is there, but the way they're marketing it seems like it will be a different venue. I've seen Dillon mentioned as well which would be a dream, and they've only announced one or two 2023 dates so far.

 Been slowly entering a bluegrass wormhole, inspired by Mr. Strings (which is why I'm posting this here). I started with My Bluegrass Heart and am currently transfixed by this John Hartford record. Seriously one of my favorite country records I've ever heard. So much wit, personality, and beautiful songwriting packed into this record. It's like an even goofier John Prine record with a lot more pickin' and what not. |

Really debating doing the Asheville run for next year. Had an absolute blast in that city last year and told myself I'd do one 3 night run next year
Not the most convenient time of year though and flights are looking expensive and kind of bad, but that's offset a bit by that I'd just stay the hostel there which is super cheap

Had a 3 day in my cart ready to go and chickened out after looking at flights one more time. They really are just brutal for that weekend out of here. Still not out for it though. Made a lot of friends out there last time and a lot of that crew is going back

Asheville always used to be a pricey flight from here but it's dropped recently. I was eyeing a first class on United for $460ish.

Yeah United is my best option too and all the flights actually lay over in Chicago. Did that last year and it wasn't a bad price at all, but the Monday back is super expensive for some reason. Hoping a sell pops up Billy Failing was actually on my leg from Chicago to Asheville last year, that was pretty neat |

So it was just a single (though 38 minutes long), looks like they are working on a live record though but itll be a collection of songs from different shows instead of any single show. But there will be a vinyl release, ive been waiting on that so im pumped

I haven't been won over by what I've seen from him, and as it's the third night of the run it's more than likely I'll be too wiped to go, but I grabbed tickets anyway.

I saw him Thursday having also not been won over yet and I think the live show did it for me. I wouldn't say it like blew me away, not sure he's a guy that'll ever be a big favorite, but the jams were good, he's a hell of a guitar player, and their keyboard player really blew me away. It was a fun show overall and he's on my list to see when he comes through now. I really wanted to make Asheville work and I don't think it's gonna, but I'd probably be at that show if I was going. Solid chance Billy drops in too. Though yeah, specially being the Sunday night I feel like I'd maybe be too wiped out by then too. Friday or Saturday would be easier for a late show |

Judging by pictures and some of the live stream I caught, the new stage set-up for this year looks really cool. Really wish I made it out to Asheville, I really looked into it but flights were just ridiculous. Those looked like very fun shows alady did you end up going? |
