i work at a very casual environment so when i say "with a suit" it's
not a particularly formal situation for me - i don't think u could get away with them in a lot of places yea

Never been a fan of slip on shoes. They generally don’t fit me great and I actually like how laces look w/ jeans or dress pants.

Bought a dope ass olive denim jacket a a flea market in Dumbo this weekend because I would have gotten hypothermia crossing the Brooklyn Bridge since I didn't bring a coat.
Anything I don't think I'm going to buy anything that doesn't go with it for a while.

I wanted these really bad when they came out but couldn't quite justify the purchase because I was about to go to London and they're made so that the design can chip and flake off over time (like a real painting). But like I said earlier, Shoes.com constantly has promos and they've got 30% off right now and I noticed they had these in my size so now I have yet another new pair of Docs on their way to me.  |

I have em. They have major flaws. The finish on them is done to look like an old painting that’s cracked but as you wear them and walk it cracks off leaving behind white. You mention this but it’s not even “over time” as in long term. It’s like within the first day of wearing them. Within like 2 hours of wearing them giant stress lines had cracked off the paint where your foot flexes leaving the finish splotchy and uneven. Kinda seems like if you wore them for even just a week a LOT of the paint would crack off. I expected the paint to chip off but the actual effect, at least on mine, looks really bad. |

Oh, I know and I'm ready. These aren't gonna be a pair of boots that are worn regularly. They'll be more of an every once in a while thing. At some point I'll probably just be like "fuck it" and wear the hell out of them without caring.

I've had to go back and forth with Gustin a bit, but I think I finally landed a pair of denim that are perfect. The fit thing is more complicated than it needs to be - I followed the measurement instructions, and it was still uncomfortably tight once I received them. Ended up using my normal sizing and it worked out. :shrugs:
