Ours have been climbing all over stuff to a much greater degree lately. I don’t know if we just didn’t notice it before when we were still able to leave the house but they’ve suddenly gotten very needy. Yelling for food, yelling for attention, yelling to wake us up so we can listen to them yell. All the big players are present as of late Have you told them about the screaming thread?

When I put my earbuds in my ears for a call, my dogs decide it's time to fight club. They can be quietly snoozing, and then all of the sudden they are acting crazy, nipping at each other and bumping into furniture.
And now, I am probably in trouble because I broke the first rule of fight club. sigh

I mean we played this morning too and did some training and there were treats and everything. She is just super squirrelly.

are our pets getting sick of us?
our doggo started sleeping on the couch when quarantine started as if he needs time away from us.
i'm worried whenever we do go back that he'll really misbehave bc he misses us and we'll be in a new house.

We've noticed Arya has started picking up some bad separation anxiety because it's so rare that both of us leave house at once these days. During the few occasions we do leave the house together, we've come back to her barking at the door and acting frantic (pre-pandemic we would come home to her sleeping on the couch). We've discussed strategically taking walks together, but not bringing Arya on a walk seems even more cruel. Not sure what the solution is here.

the couple of years we've had out dog she's always been a late sleeper. so last week when i decided to quit setting my alarm and get up whenever to work, that little shit decided to start getting up at 6. it was the morning after the supermoon so i was blaming it on that at first, but nope, she's an asshole every day now.

I can't blame it on the quarantine but every spring my cat decides to start waking up at 6 am to bang on the blinds and knock things off my dresser. She only does this in spring though.

Thought of this thread randomly the other day, bumping it to say we got a kitten in July who is very sweet and a delightful addition to our home but I’m noticing that 3 cats feels like significantly more than 2 cats. Seems like there’s always one underfoot somewhere trying to drink from my glass of water or trip me on the stairs. We have to be extremely careful with the new one because she has a major taste for people food and will stop at nothing to get at it (she got up onto the counter and then managed to dive headfirst into the kitchen trash can yesterday, something I discovered only when I saw a kitten butt, tail, and two legs sticking straight up out of the can). Cats rock.

Did not expect getting a dog to be harder than getting an apartment but here we are. These pups are snatched up extremely quick. Either way, hope to be posting in here soon

I feel like there's an article every week about how the shelters are overcrowded and desperate for adoptions. Get a pit bull

Usually Petfinder since they all post on those. I submitted an app with one tail at a time last week, haven't heard back yet. Wagging Tail is where this guy is located. and I'll share a pic why not.

He was born on 6/23 so about five and a half months. I did a DNA test for him that said he should be around 60 pounds, which is twice as big as he is now. His DNA test came in at like 39% Boxer, 20% German Shepherd, 9% husky, 7% pitbull, and then a bunch of other stuff. Was 19 breeds total.

Update: his sister got adopted, yay!
also anyone have any recommendations on pet insurance? Little guy was puking non stop last Wednesday so took him to the emergency vet. He ended up being okay after some anti-nausea medicine but would prefer not spending another $900 in tests anytime something like this happens.

I'm pretty sad this week. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be putting Hayley to sleep at the vet on Thursday.
