Alright everyone lets see some cute pets in here. Dogs, cats, lizards, you name it. I'll start us off here.   We've got Rizzo, who is the orange cat who, as you can see by the number on his birthday treat, is 2 years old. Sebastian is the little grey and white guy. We got him a couple months ago and he's a little bundle of fun. |

So this past weekend, we were fostering a dog that was from the therapy dog program my wife has been a part of for almost a year now. It was very short notice, we pretty much found out on Wednesday and had him at our house by Thursday. He was a year and a half old purebread German Shepard, but he was HUGE. He was already taller than Wilco, and he still was supposed to grow even more.
He was a really good dog, but we learned after a day or two that he just wasn't fitting in with us. We could have kept him permanently, but he and Wilco were just not getting along. He needed a lot more exercise than we were able to give him too. So my wife talked it over with the people in her group, they immediately found someone else who would take him, and they seem to be in love with him already. So that was an interesting and challenging weekend.

Soooo, we found out from the people who ended up taking that dog in, that he had advanced Lyme disease, because his previous owner probably never took him to a vet. It’s so far along that they might have to put him down. So that is pretty depressing.

Edit: The shepherd? If you want to adopt a shepherd a friend of my family fosters shepherds and I could let you know as soon as he has another. One of my parents dogs came from him and she's an amazing dog.

Thanks guys. Yeah, it was the shepherd, we only fostered him for about 4 days.
We learned from that weekend that we're going to be a one-dog family for a while, so thanks for the offer though.

You know I thought so but I still cant decide. I've actively told them that I have a dog allergy when we've watched random shedding dogs at the place for a weekend but also I had a dog thru college and can handle it.
