Guessing none of you have to cook next week... I'm good for making one dish of my choice.

Guessing none of you have to cook next week... My mom is hosting but MPH and I do 90% of the cooking. Transporting a turkey in it's brine bag isn't fun, but we've got the process down at this point.

Guessing none of you have to cook next week... I’m going to my parents place in Florida, so I’ll be helping my mom with meal prep at least.

We ordered our food because of the whole newborn thing. Turkey two appetizers and two sides for $55 from one of the better restaurant groups in town.
Also just went on a shopping spree for champagne and beer and landed some very good options. Hopefully it lasts until next week.

And we’re going to start putting together our gift boxes this week. All of our out of town friends and family get a box for their household with beer and Denver-made items. Takes a ton of stress out of the holiday.

We’re doing a turkey and some sides this weekend for my folks, and then to Iowa for actual Thanksgiving. I’m more than happy to stay out of that one as much as possible.
We did make the turkey there last year, though.

Takes a ton of stress out of the holiday. That sounds like an awesome gift. It's fun to put these together. We put different items in each package based on what our friends/family like. Related: I love holiday flea markets.

I like that idea. My family also gives a lot of beer/ edible items but we're trying to cut back.
Related, the Show of Hands sale is this weekend if any of you are looking for unique locally made stuff.

We only include a couple cans/bottles per box. Mostly it's hot sauce, jams, coffee/tea and other local stuff.

TAKE IT TO THE JAM THREAD (no really I want to hear about local jams) Whenever I go to my sister's in Indiana, I get myself some FROG jam. I never knew it was a thing, but it is delicious.

Probably because every thread inevitably becomes a jam thread.

FROG jam = fig, raspberry, orange, and ginger
Sounds like a lot going on in one jam, but it works really well. Try it, folks!

Pleased to learn that no frogs were harmed in the making of Indiana’s jam.

I could have sworn we had a jam thread? ten15 ? Maybe I dreamed it. The lack of a thread is shocking. However, the jam discussion now remains untethered, which is how it should be. I am gonna look for that FROG jam - sounds great.
