Last year our party was at Fatpur in the south loop. I got shitfaced and listened to my co-workers talk about how much their husbands sucked. I didn't pay for a drink all night, even after the "open bar" closed. I was one of 3 people in the office the next day.
No word on our party yet but I'm 50-50 on going again. If it's at Fatpour again I'll probably stay there until the open bar closes and then go to a different bar to watch whatever sportsball is on

Well my 13 lb turkey did not thaw in the refrigerator for 4 days like the packaging said it would. For the most part it was thawed but some bits were frozen and the neck was like an icicle. Ran it under cold water for a while which helped. Here's hoping.

Oven for roughly 4 hours. Not entirely too sure what to expect but we'll do a Bon Jovi and give it a shot.

The amount of butter I have used. Turkey is not the centerpiece of Thanksgiving, it's butter.

First time spatchcocking a turkey, excited to see how it turns out! This is the best way to cook pretty much any bird, imo

Watching A Muppet Christmas Carol on Disney+. I always cry when Tiny Tim dies or a hand with a green sock on it.

So far today I've gone on a run, had two Pseudo Sues, ate a bunch of cheese and now I'm watching Ratatouille. Truly living my best life.

So far I have woken up, gone to see Marriage Story, cried through Marriage Story, and went back to bed.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone, love y’all.

Pretty decent day. Our task this year was to bring these amazing rolls from south KC that are literally to die for (Big Mamas on Bannister), and I had some extra eggs so I tried my hand at deviled eggs for the first time. They were a hit. Also brought some chocolate stouts to pair with some truffles which also went over well.
Baby was a hit naturally. His holiday outfit included a shirt that says "I'm only here for the breast." Now we're watching "Where'd You Go Bernadette?" Working from home tomorrow while the wife puts up decorations.

E planned a bunch of fun stuff to cook. I stood by and did every task I could/ran the dishwasher every time she took a break. We had a lot of fun and had mashed sweet potatoes, stuffed mushroom caps, green bean casserole (with homemade cream of mushroom!), and beef wellington! It was a nice day, I briefly fell asleep on the couch with a couple of cats on me, and now we're drinking wine and watching The Simpsons. It's been a good one, and I'm excited to go to Peoria after work tomorrow.

Teaching my sister (age 27) how to use Spotify is a real joy.
“Holy shit, you can save playlists to listen to offline??”
