Today the technology firm NVIDIA revealed the very first in-ride image from the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge’s highly-anticipated Millennium Falcon flight simulator attraction, along with some new details about the tech that is going into the ride currently under construction on both coasts by Walt Disney Imagineering in cooperation with NVIDIA, Epic Games, and Lucasfilm’s immersive entertainment department ILMxLAB

the TLJ exclusive booklet thing was sold out everywhere in chicago by friday morning so i just got the 4k/bluray/digital pack.
the score-only version is great. they remix it so the parts where the score is quieter for dialog is much more present so it sounds like something new.
the making-of documentary is wonderful and pretty hilarious. hammill is such a joker (IM NOT APOLOGIZING FOR THAT)
lots of good deleted scenes that i wish had been included in TLJ but it's already 2 1/2 hours so i get it. the added bits with Phasma would've helped her character a lot and there's some more gags from Luke that might've made the haters stop throwing a fit about him being too grumpy.

Lucasfilm and ReedPOP's Star Wars Celebration returns in 2019 - but is moving from Orlando to Chicago.
Star Wars Celebration is scheduled for April 11 - 15, 2019 inside Chicago's McCormick Place - the same convention center as ReedPOP's C2E2, which is happening two weeks prior from March 29 - 31, 2019.
Tickets to Star Wars Celebration 2019 are scheduled to go on-sale June 5 at 12:00 p.m. CST at www.starwarscelebration.com.

I wonder how many people outside of this board are disappointed that's the same time as Coachella weekend one

Nah I'm definitely in for SW Celebration if it's in Chicago. 100%.
But non-issue for me to conflict with Coachella unless Kyuss was reuniting or something

hopefully no one on this board cares either... I know, Coachella hasn't been worth going to in several years now, shouldn't be a hard choice

The concept of the Star Wars celebration sounds like fun but to be honest I don’t think I’m nearly as into Star Wars as any of those attendees are

How much are tickets to this? Haven't been to a Star Wars convention in like 20 years.

I'm sure the people watching alone will be worth the price of admission. There might be deranged people in stormtrooper costumes camping out in front of McCormick right now

How much are tickets to this? Haven't been to a Star Wars convention in like 20 years. Here are 2017 ticket prices. Couldn't find 2018 easily: 4-day Pass – $150.00 Thursday – $65.00 Friday – $65.00 Saturday – $75.00 Sunday – $65.00 This is five days though so the full pass will probably be $200 at least. But really, who would want to go that long?

Better than Bonnaroo.
Both in price and content

I feel like I would like to take my niece and nephew to this. Does this sort of thing sell out?

I'm amazed at how quickly I've lost interest in Star Wars movies. Force Awakens was nostalgic, Rogue One had that ending scene, Last Jedi was satisfying, now... I feel no anticipation for Solo or Episode 9.

Solo hasn't looked good since the second trailer came out and gave away the whole plot. kinda the same issue with Rouge One which also ended up being whatever.
i'm still pretty damn excited for IX since the 2 saga films in the sequel trilogy have been fantastic so far but yeah i kinda don't care about the spinoffs at this point.

I feel like I would like to take my niece and nephew to this. Does this sort of thing sell out? When it was in Orlando it would take a couple months to sell out at least but I imagine in a Chicago type setting, it will sell out much faster. The London one sells out annually.

Can't wait for a Chewbacca movie directed by Terrence Malick.
