Pretty sure I'll be watching most of the afternoon. Have a thing from 2-2:30, but that's it.

Has Kimbrell had that giant pine tar spot on his hat all year? Has nobody called him on it?

Indians not looking hot today Yea this didn't go as I would have liked. Just hoping it gets to game 4 so my friends back home with tickets get to see a game. Not sure I'll get to catch one with my Dad at home again this year :/

Astros/Red Sox is an impossibly good ALCS. Hopefully it goes 7.

That finish last night was fun. Excited for the ALCS, too.

Brewers are a fun team and I'd love to see them in the WS. They're an easy team to root for against LA. I guess go Astros, too.

I would be 100% on board with the Astros repeating if they hadn't signed Osuna.

I don't really mind whoever comes out of the AL. I'm probably leaning BoSox cuz Sale, but I think I'm rooting for Brewers for the 'ship.

What did he do to get fired? Advocate for victims of domestic abuse?

What did he do to get fired? Advocate for victims of domestic abuse? Coach a very talented team to these stats in the second half: Runs/game: 4.07 (23rd) OBP: .316 (17th) SLG: .389 (27th)

Fun with small sample sizes:
For two months this year, the White Sox were 11th in wRC+.

I truly don’t understand the argument here. Look how the 2017 Red Sox struggled with him, look at them now. Look at the 2018 Cubs. Idk how his firing isn’t justified

Idk how his firing isn’t justified I think any fanbase complaining about hitting/pitching coaches is dumb. It's silly to pretend that we know what to blame them for and what to give them credit for. Does Chili Davis get credit for Baez's MVP year? For Jason Heyward and Kyle Schwarber rebounding? Why? Do we know what specific adjustments he suggested? Is Chili Davis the only reason a guy like Willson Contreras had a worse year? Is he the reason why a guy like Addison Russell fails to develop at the plate? Why? Do we know which specific adjustments he suggested that made them worse? A lot of hitters have said that a hitting coach will preach the same message with multiple guys and it only clicks for a couple. Or that a hitter will hear the same message from multiple hitting coaches over the course of a career, and it's seemingly arbitrary when the message clicks for that hitter. In conclusion, Cubs fans should focus on the fact that Joe Maddon is a putz.

I agree that Chili Davis should have been fired.
I also agree that Joe Maddon is a putz.
Happy to help.

Very interesting that they're allowing him to be a lame duck manager next year. I think anything less than another WS win and he's gone.

The only knock I have against maddon is that he seems to consistently forget how bullpens work around Labor Day every season.
I don’t know how you fire a guy who has never won less than 90 games in his tenure with the team but this is why I comment on message boards rather than run baseball teams
