this schedule is annoyingly perfect. especially after talking myself into selling my ticket.
natalie prass -> big thief -> gang of youths -> sir sly -> david byrne -> jungle -> the nat'l -> fjm -> macca
is GOAT
pregame -> wombats -> breeders -> brandi carlile -> sharon van etten -> deftones -> st vincent -> metallica
is absurdly fun
amen dunes -> arizona -> parquet courts -> janelle -> rezz -> revolution -> arctic monkeys -> last half hour of gambino
is very silly in the best way
i reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally wanna make this work but reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally shouldnt.

I was checking to see if that charity that did the water stands at Lolla does ACL too, but they don't have anything up yet...
But then I realized I can't do either weekend. Oh well.

If I get employed soon I'm def gonna go down for Friday and spend a little bit of time in Austin. I have a friend I can stay with and flights aren't particularly expensive either weekend if I go Thursday night to Sunday morning

thats one of the best fest days i can think of in a long time, like i cant think of one where theres an artist in literally every time slot i actively want to see. missing brockhampton hurts and i normally wouldnt but FJM makes that block too perfect
Naked Giants>Wombats>Breeders or Japanese Breakfast>drink>Blood Orange or Sharon Von Etten>CHVRCHES>St Vincent>Metallica
also incredibly solid

there's about 7-8 solid straight hours of this each day i could go to. but after 8 straight years, then a 5-year break, then going again in '16, i think i'm done. plus my cousin isn't going, which means my free hotel that's a 15-minute walk away isn't available ;–)

unfortunately with only less than a month left before this thing, i haven't booked anything and it sounds like most people i know who were interested aren't gonna pull the trigger.
i guess weekend 1 sold out so i can hopefully just stubhub my weekend pass for face value.
real shame cause the fest fucking nailed it this year, so good on them.
just cant swing it right now with everything else going on.

Worst case scenario they probably just have Travis Scott moved to headliner weekend 1 and Shawn Mendes for weekend 2, but I hope we do get a late add, that'd be fun

when i went in 07, white stripes canceled fairly last minute, and they just moved muse to a headliner spot.
then in 09, beastie boys canceled and there was enough time to get yeah yeah yeahs to headline in their spot.
