I kind of have a feeling the National get like a 75 or 90 minute non headlining set, that's how it was with both them and Phoenix in 2013.
Also I just did layaway plan for weekend 1 hope I see other boarders out there

Shawn Mendes is playing Summerfest too and they also booked a day where you could see Drivin N Cryin/The Posies/Meat Puppets/Marshmallo so I think that wins

Goddamn this is good. I suuuuuppper can’t commit to this but honestly well done to ACL. Is there a better US major this year? it kind of feels like cheating when the main thing that makes it above the others was at lolla in 2015 Fair, my major benefit is that I was only there on Sunday in 2015 because a friend gave me a free ticket.

I don’t think FYF counts as a major but I do like that lineup a lot.

Bonnaroo is better than this festival and the fact that it has bad headliners is a good thing because you can take a good nap but also it wouldve been good if Sunday roo headliner was Metallica or McCartney
Also remember how controversial Metallica was as a roo headliner and now Muse and the Killers are headlining lmao

Interested in 5 of the 7 big names on the poster (Macca, Metallica, AM, Gambino, and The National). Subs/Upper-tier do it for me with David Byrne, CHVRCHES, Justice, St V, Father John Misty, Sylvan Esso, BROCKHAMPTON, and Janelle Monae. And lots of good stuff in the midcard like Parquet Courts, Blood Orange, Twin Shadow, the Breeders, Jungle, Alvvays, Big Thief, Japanese Breakfast, Gang of Youths, and Natalie Prass. Things get a bit dicey beyond that but that's more than enough names for 3 awesome days.

coachella was better than this imo it's pretty close with coachella for me, not sure which i prefer. coachella got better #rares as always but acl has some rawk and some acts that arent really rare but also arent on other lineups (sharon, revolution)

I count 40 acts that I would see on this lineup. Best US bill of 2018, IMO. Doubt I can make this happen, but so so so so so tempting.

this fest has no female headiners not a good look white dude to white dude obviously but i dont know if this is a fair complaint. its a boring lineup for sure but its also a fairly diverse lineup especially in comparison to the other majors.

Looks like Florence is being saved for next year for Lolla/ACL

Looks like Florence is being saved for next year for Lolla/ACL Yeah I’m expecting her to hit all of the majors in 2018 that she isn’t playing this year.

I count 18 bands I'd see, particularly for weekend 1. Not going to do it though.

It's a good lineup that might look better than it is because of the lack of obvious eyesores up top.
But by the same token I feel like if Lolla had booked Byrne and Gambino as exclusives and then Jack White and Vampire Weekend only turned up at ACL, people here would be apoplectic

It's a solid line up, and I hope this means we get The National, Arctic Monkeys, Shame, Sharon Van Etten, and Janelle Monae. Of those, I'm safe betting that Janelle and the National play here.

really really curious how the headliners shake out. My like priority in seeing them would go 1. Macca 2. The National 3. Metallica 4. Gambino 5. AM
Buuuut I'm still keeping an eye out if tickets for Gambino here get really cheap and if so and I go to that then AM jumps them. AM is only lower because I have tickets to see them the Friday of weekend 2 of this plus ive seen them 4 times already

Feel blessed that Lolla bagged Rebelution instead of the Revolution.
Hollywood should make a bro reggae version of Purple Rain too. 311 could be the Morris Day rival.

Just noticed how there is so much more hip-hop on Lolla’s lineup compared to this. I thought Tyler and Vince would be locks for ACL.

I don't think this lineup is very good or interesting but reminder that it never sells out so no need to pounce on tickets

28 trapper kept: macca, metallica, gambino, am, natl(x3), deftones(x2), justice, annie, fjm(x2), greta, man orch, ambassadors, blood orange, twin shadow, breeders (x2), houndmouth, sharon, wombats, mt joy, thief, natalie prass, asleep(x5), arkells, nicole atkins, loeb, ralph's, q bros, school of rock.
5 trapper kept by better half: am, natl, asleep, ralph, school of rock; but the beatle she's seen in concert was george, not paul.

Perfectly cromulent but nothing mind-blowing. I'd put it above Roo and Lolla but that's like an underground speakeasy and the main reason I prefer ACL is Macca/Metallica who've been around at this point.

I'm mostly hoping Tinashe, SVE and Alice Merton have dates around here in the fall.
Also, an act calling themselves "Sailor Poon" makes me want to set everything on fire.
