The subheadliners seem incredibly week but I'm assuming Beyonce costs 500 million dollars so that makes sense.

Glad that's out of the way. Looking to lots of tours (and Chicago shows) being announced over the next couple of weeks.
I'm curious if Jamiroquai will be a one off or if they'll do other US dates. Maybe hit NYC and Chicago in between Coachella weekends?

Yeah the subheadliners at Coachella could usually be headliners at like Lolla but this year Odesza might be the only one.

Yeah the subheadliners at Coachella could usually be headliners at like Lolla but this year Odesza might be the only one. im just gonna assume kygo might be too cause idk what that is sza may or not be that huge but i cant tell. im going solely off #hype from the critic album reviews and the reception to her tv appearances. a few months ago i'd think it was weird that Portugal was that big but then i heard the two singles off that last album every fucking time i got in the car and then they played it for NYE in NYC and i realized they're basically TBK part deux

IDK feel like most years people are like "the subs are small" but in reality Coachella is just good about getting people on the right hype cycle. SZA is and has been blowing up, I'm sure HAIM's plus So Cal new album will be inescapable, and then Odesza is Odesza so...

Post Malone is really big among the kids. He's #3 on the Spotify top 500 artists above both Eminem and Beyonce

i'll post screencaps of APC's facebook/twitter comment sections soon. i can't imagine how they'll handle Maynard going from buttrock fests to this in the same year.

Surprised by no Pussy Riot since they are playing Hangout ( which still seems insane)

I’d love to go to this but I’ll be slamming my balls in a car door on those dates.

We’re kicking around weekend 2 because she doesn’t work that weekend. I haven’t brought up the price yet so I doubt it’ll happen, but still

I'm not going, but this is a reasonably good lineup, I think.
Carpenter Brut on Friday is a nice surprise; it made me think Lolla could be in the cards, until I remembered that Concord show in April.

Top 10
Beyonce Chic SZA David Byrne Vince Staples Kamasi Washington BROCKHAMPTON Jamiroquai King Krule Cardi B
Weird predictions:
Brockhampton might be in the Sahara, French Montana definitely will be as will Post Malone
Really trying to figure out the main stage vs. outdoor scheduling and it's not easily predictable imo but this is what I got..
Friday:
Main: The Neighbourhood > St Vincent > SZA > The Weeknd Outdoor: Vince > WoD > Kygo (or would he be Sahara?)
Saturday:
Main: alt-J > Haim > Beyonce Outdoor: Fleet Foxes > Tyler Sahara: Post Malone
edit: I could also see Bryne being a Mojave/Gobi closer
Sunday:
Main: Vance Joy > PTM > Odesza (if not in Sahara) > Eminem Outdoor: Miguel > APC > Migos Sahara: French Montana > Cardi B
edit: Could also see Miguel being a Mojave/Gobi closer

Don't blame me for not listening to them, blame Wretched for not having his playlist done yet!

Hmmm I'm conflicted about the line up. Headliners doing nothing for me besides Beyonce, the subs are really small? It seems like Bey and Em took a lot of money.
I love Saturday
Friday is good
Sunday sucks

ha yep was just gonna point while making the playlist that there's a truly strange absence of obnoxious edm this year -- certainly some beep boop but all very subdued or low key idm stuff so that's neat. and then it turns out there's a bunch of foreign rock/punk/metal acts i'm not familiar with that all sound great. so maybe the Sonora is staying this year and they're just digging really deep also a solid group of pop, r&b and hip hop solo acts in the bottom half that im not familiar with but am definitely adding based on the taste i've gotten so far. lots of good discoveries to be made in the next 4 months!

WE ARE............X
also this is a pretty bad lineup other than saturday which is weirdly great. Friday is exceptionally terrible and Sunday would be prettyl bad if not for some interesting/weird hip hop bookings
