Foos are doing that huge festival in California in October. If they were going to headline Coachella it would have already happened by now.

Haven't they also explicitly said that the "rock" acts no longer fit the demographic they're trying to accommodate? I'm too lazy to drag up the interviews, but I thought they've said that AC/DC, GnR, and even Radiohead have bit them in the ass. I don't see Foos being right for their image in 2018.

i'd be really surprised by that being true, as long as Paul keeps booking. he blabs every year about wanting to book his favorite classic rock acts.

Didn't he say that was really experimenting this year or something?

I think he said having Beyonce in the bag makes his job easier and it allows him to get more creative or savvy.

Frankly neither Foo, Chance, Depeche Mode, nor Arcade Fire would be "creative" in that context. Savvy? Maybe.

If anyone is doing advance planning, Southwest has opened up their booking into April.
Chicago/Ontario for me is $336, which isn't awful. LAX can be done for about 275.

Bey & Abel would be great for me.
but again I've had Coachellas where i didn't watch a single headliner so it's not really much of a dealbreaker even if all 3 were as bad as the Chainsmokers

That would be a pretty embarrassing set of headliners Having said that I would be surprised if there wasn't a rock headliner

The dude backtracked and said that Chainsmokers were either co-headlining or subheadlining so there's still some hope for that, I think.

I think Metallica or Foo Fighters will headline with Weeknd and Bey.

I don't know why I keep going back to this festival.
I don't mind going 0-3 on headliners AGAIN (IRT the Reddit Post), but I think this is changing the attendee profile and not for the better.

Apparently someone from the Coachella boards with 'reliable sources' said that Jamiroquai is booked. That would be a nice rebound from the Chainsmokers (if they are in fact playing).

The tour ends almost two months ahead of the fest, I wouldn't quite call that a lock.

She's also skipping San Francisco, Vancouver and Seattle. I bet she announces dates there around Coachella.

Kinda surprising, but Lana's tour dates in Europe and Australia count her out for this year.
