Logan Square Arts Fest was pretty great on Saturday. Got there around 3 and unfortunately had to bail before Metz. That was my first time there & it's towards the top of my Chicago Summer Fest Power Rankings. Great crowd & I loved being able to move over and chill out in the grass.

Yeah, same, that was my first time at LSAF, and it was really well done. I'll go back next year for sure if the bands are good again.
We have to be due for the Wicker Park fest full lineup soon. I just checked, still not full info up, but I did notice Charly Bliss was added on Sunday the 30th, so they might get me there.

Jody Watley is definitely a great grab. I heard "Do You Want Me" on the radio a few months ago and it still holds up. Cece Peniston subbing for Jody would be a good day at any festival.

peniston, and the radiators with evangeline opening, played separate rooms (but with only one admission, if there was any admission or cover charge, I just don't remember) at the late, great, china club. that may also have been the night we sauntered into the vip room without getting hassled about it.

decided yesterday that berlin at rib fest would be a better music option than standing outside wrigley listening to 3 grateful dead members grooving to john mayer gtr licks. so, I'll see you there cg, after a meeting in wicker park and dinner at home.
