Well he's a weird Twitter troll then. It's this. He's doing it intentionally to gain followers/attention, and it's working for him.

Pale Hose I can't believe you'd read a book that wasn't from a Board Approved Author.

I legitimately don't get your point here Back up your claim of him being a "literal white supremacist" if you want to engage in a conversation - this is directionless and pointless I'm on neither side but the approach here is ridiculous

What's the difference between a literal white supremacist and a figurative one?

Writing about how woman and b-level minority students are mentally handicapped is literal white supremacy vs figurative white supremecy which is just being really into Machine Gun Kelly

if i posted i was reading a self-help book recommended to me by a friend and everyone here pointed out the guy is a shithead, MRA twitter troll, i would probably just be glad to be given a heads up and not get defensive about it.
bosma posted tweets, but if that's not enough here's some proof from a very brief google search:
The reality is that women are treated differently by society for exactly the same reason that children and the mentally handicapped are treated differently. It's just easier this way for everyone. You don't argue with a four-year old about why he shouldn't eat candy for dinner. You don't punch a mentally handicapped guy even if he punches you first. And you don't argue when a women tells you she's only making 80 cents to your dollar. It's the path of least resistance. You save your energy for more important battles. -Scott Adams
[new quote]
Women have made an issue of the fact that men talk over women in meetings. In my experience, that’s true. But for full context, I interrupt anyone who talks too long without adding enough value. If most of my victims turn out to be women, I am still assumed to be the problem in this situation, not the talkers.

Steve Jobs is responsible for like 100+ suicides in his human slavery factories which is probably directly worse than just being an alt-right troll

Thank you for actually contributing something to the thread, where if people (idiots, I suppose!!!) don't know anything about Scott Adams, they now actually have a resource. See: Previous pages, other forums, productive conversation, etc.

I don't think its unreasonable to not know that Scott Adams has become a white supremacist alt-right guy and i doubt his book touches on that stuff but specifically Facts defensiveness about it is v bizarre!

This is a good book! Kind of getting tired of the switching timelines or perspectives by chapter routine, but it's actually done well here.

I'm not defending Scott Adams, I posted that I was reading a book in the book thread, and got quite a reaction for doing so. I didn't realize the book or author had to board approved first, but I guess I should have known better. I don't have much of an opinion on the guy, and I'm certainly not trying to change any of yours.

I feel like i have a brain injury.
Its not like its a fiction book by a problematic author. Its a nonfiction self help book by an avowed alt-right hero. you took it as a personal attack rather than being like "hey maybe shouldn't buy in to hard on what that guy has to say"

Again, I have no real argument against anything that's being posted here, I personally didn't know anything about this and wouldn't be interested in his stuff knowing what I know. I'm not trying to defend anything but the conversation. Literally the first thing I googled was "scott adams problematic" and there were swaths of articles about how shitty the guy is, but mostly about his politics, misogyny, etc. The conversation was like 5 minutes old. I don't see a problem asking someone to just post a link to what they're talking about on a forum as opposed to the "you can google this all yourself!!!" attitude
