I’ve never seen gone with the wind and don’t really plan on it
The last 20 minutes of The Dark Knight Rises hasn’t aged particularly well with me and I still think they tried to cram 2 movies worth of shit into one but it is still good
My favorite step is step 11
LBJ had a huge dong

I didn't realize that was already being released.
I was actually just thinking the other day how I've barely seen any of his movies and I wanted to correct that. I think I've only seen 4 of his films - When the Levees Broke, Inside Man, 25th Hour and He Got Game.

Thank you to jazzpolice and sthubbins for speaking so highly of Anatomy of a Murder, particularly in singling out its ability to sustain interest over its runtime, which had always scared me off. Preminger is a K I N G.

Also dying at Richard J Daley banning the movie in Chicago because Jimmy Stewart talks about cumming too much

Malcolm X is also really good, albeit long (might want to make that one a 2-nighter).

bamboozled is my favorite spike lee by far, followed by summer of sam and school daze.
don't like 25th hour at all, and don't like the last half of do the right thing.
probably not popular opinions.

If anyone has a line on Do the Right Thing, let me know.

Malcolm X is really, really good. You might want to read the Autobiography first if you haven't.

![Raging Bull](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/5f/Raging_Bull_poster.jpg) Another stone cold classic I hadn't seen. This one's about a boxer who is also a giant asshole and wrote a book about what a giant asshole he was, but probably only to get more money. It's a very good film, and boy howdy if you like to see Robert De Niro get punched in the face you are in luck!

Last night I discovered that Arrow Video has a channel on Apple TV - there’s a one month free trial and it’s only $5/mo after that. There is a toooonnnnnn of good schlock horror (and legit stuff too), I am in heaven
Watched Edge of the Axe last night and looooved it. Cannot wait to tackle Microwave Massacre which I’ve never been able to find.

![](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/49/Malcolmxdvdset.jpg) Felt rushed at times, which is strange for a 3 hour plus movie. The first hour was really heavy on his life before prison and then it just hopped from life event to life event. You know, a biopic. But goddamn Denzel was incredible.

Joe Bob friday was Scare Package (kinda funny, very cheap version of Cabin in the Woods meta stuff) and Hogzilla (probably one of the worst and most boring movies i've ever seen in my life) we watched Zombieland Double Tap on saturday and it was better than it had any right to be. the trailers made it look very meh and the idea of bringing everyone back 10 years later just seemed like nostalgia bait, but it honestly ended up being pretty clever and funny and well done. last night i showed the bf Scanners for the first time so i think he's still a little distraught this morning
