I liked Hela, but mostly for Blanchett's performance. The rest that you mentioned I'd agree on. They are getting better for the most part, even tho Cap Marvel's was kind of bleh. Curious what the next phase villains will include now that the Fox acquisition is gonna be finalized next week. Dr. Doom and Galactus I'm hoping get proper treatment finally.

Being played by Emo Cate Blanchett automatically puts Hela in the Top 5, but it is an admittedly low bar. See, if more people were honest about this being the entire sum of what was enjoyable there, I'd grumble less. |

Honestly, the top villains mostly happen to be played by good actors. The performances are a huge part of why they’re effective at all.

I really like Ragnarok but I stand by my original assessment that it is a great comedy and not a good superhero movie.
Also the biggest problem (I guess a real MCU problem) is that it is basically undone immediately by Infinity War.

Captain Marvel was really pretty good, actually. Had some funny moments, great cosmic stuff, interesting characters... ties in real nicely.

I don't really ever rewatch these but the only ones I thought were kind of eh in the theaters were Avengers 2 and Iron Man 3.
It's possible that the first Iron Man doesn't hold up as much today but in terms of just the initial vibe/buzz/high coming out of the theaters I'd put it up there with any of them.
I liked Norton way more than Ruffalo as the Hulk.

I feel like Ruffalo is flawlessly cast. Most of them are, but maybe I feel like that because most of these people have BECOME these characters over this course of movies. Forever.

Ruffalo is my favorite by default because i thought both Bana and Norton's movies were turrible.
just have Hulk's story be a subplot to other bigger stories a la Ragnarok or the first Avengers. it fits with the scale of destruction and also gives him a reason to be kind of a deus ex machina that beats everyone but has some kind of internal conflict that we care about but dont need to overly exploit.

The Eric Bana one doesn't age as terribly as I figured it would - it was on TV a couple months back and I watched a little bit of it. I kind of appreciate what they were trying to do with that movie.
