If I’ve already beaten the game do I have to tack it onto a second playthrough or can I just do those chapters? That’s the only thing that has prevented me from picking it up thus far. Also the fact that I just finished the 3 remake You play as Ada from her viewpoint of the narrative. I think you just need to have the main game beaten. Every time it intertwines with Leon's arc it just plays a cut scene.

I remembered enjoying Payday 2 back in the day and 3 came out on Gamepass so I got a few friends to give it a go, and man, this game feels like they didn't add a single new feature from the last one and feels really disappointing. I had some fun doing the co-op stuff coordinating with my friends to stay stealthy, but it really just made me wish a co-op Hitman existed because those games do such a better job of having you infiltrate a place and actually giving you a lot of options in a sandbox. I played Payday 2 back on the Xbox 360 days and it was a blast. When Overkill (now Starbreeze Studios) basically gave the middle finger to console players in terms of support is when I gave up on the franchise and any future games made by Starbreeze. I haven't played Payday 3 and it looks like I haven't missed much.

Even if you're anti marvel, Spiderman 2 is so good. Not gonna lie, it's inching close to being a top 10 game of all time for me. Def the best superhero game.

I just recently got a PS4 so I played Bloodborne and am now going through the first Spider-Man. I fucking love it so far. Going to play through some of the other exclusives I've never gotten to.

Finally beat Tears of the Kingdom last night. I had put off fighting Ganondorf forever and decided to just set aside an hour to get through the ending. Really really awesome ending fight/sequences except Zelda's voice actress kind of threw the whole thing off for me. I wish she hadn't leaned so much into the English accent or whatever she was going for (especially since it looks like it's an American actress now that I look at her profiles). I felt like I was watching Harry Potter or something like that.
Also, I got every shrine, every lightroot, did so many missions, played for like 150 hours, somehow still only ended up at 56% completion when I was able to see that at the end. I have no idea what else I need to do other than korok seeds which I didn't really prioritize at all, need to see if there's anything material that I missed.
I played through Breath of the Wild for the first time this year and then immediately went in to this and now there's a hole in my soul because I don't have any more Zelda to play after like six months of only playing Zelda. Might give Mario Wonder a shot.

Mario Wonder is extremely fun. I’ve only put an hour or so into it but definitely worthwhile. I think it was Xam who told me that walking in an area that triggers the name of a location appearing on your screen will add it to the map, and that counts for a decent portion of the percentages. I had a similar response when I completed all the shrines and light roots and noticed that I was still at a crazy low percentage completing the game with 120 or so hours. Great game though really loved it

Each Korok, named location on the map, and cave entrance is worth 0.04% each. I did 100% it.

Spiderman 2 was so great. Possibly my GOTY. Gonna try out Alan Wake II next though and maybe RoboCop...

If you like Control, and felt that Alan Wake would benefit from being more like Control, I recommend Alan Wake 2. It's very good but def takes a few pages out of the Control handbook. Not a bad thing imo since I love that game.

Don't skip on DREDGE. It's fantastic.
Also, I recommend playing Marvel Midnight Suns if you like real time strategy & deckbuilding games.

Chants of Sennarr looks so sick, I wish I didn’t have such a backlog right now Man I have such a huge backlog and all I keep playing is this stupid rhythm based battle royale game on gamepass. My brain is broken. I'm going to get into Steamworld Build this weekend though.

NPR just put out a list too with 97(!) games. This year really was crazy with good releases. You can filter their list by console and genre which is really nice.

I had an Atari 2600 as well. Last time I saw it was in a brown paper bag in my parents' basement. Frogger was a favorite of ours.
