Yeah – stubhub will refund buyers if a show is cancelled. A lesson I learned as a seller having to *twice* pay StubHub back for the same damn Morissey show....

I went on a private booze cruise for someone's 40th a few years ago and it was goddamn glorious. Let's get a bunch of pals together and do that.

Will be in Manhattan for one night - Wednesday, Sept 4. Any of you nyc folks going to see Hot Chip that night? Considering it, but seeing (or meeting for the first time) a boarder would make it more appealing.

I have extra tickets for the Sleater-Kinney show at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn tonight. They're pit tickets. I don't want much for them (less than StubHub pricing). PM me.

Epicures searching for foie gras in New York City will have to look elsewhere starting in 2022.
New York will ban restaurants and grocery stores from selling foie gras, after the bill passed the city council Wednesday. Mayor Bill de Blasio's office confirmed to CNN in an email that he will sign the bill into law.
The ban comes amid increasing scrutiny on foie gras. The bill calls the luxury good a "force-fed product" and, in a statement to CNN, councilwoman Carlina Rivera -- the prime sponsor of the bill -- called force-feeding an "inhumane practice."
"As a lifelong advocate for animal rights, I am excited that the Council has voted to pass this historic legislation to ban the sale of these specific force-fed animal products," Rivera stated.
And for those who try to sell the item despite the ban? They'll be facing a civic penalty upwards of $2,000 for each violation.

I think I'm staying in Greenpoint again when we see Phish at MSG for NYE. Did Greenpoint Brewing close? Yelp says it did. That place ruled

Coming Dec 24-28 with my mom and sister. They've never been so we'll be doing a lot of touristy stuff but I was gonna break off for a dinner or two, and I for sure have Christmas evening to myself since they are going to a show I have no interest in.
Picking out restaurants in NYC is so overwhelming every time I go. I did a decent bit of research and got a reservation at Sushi by M for Christmas day. It seemed really affordable, it has $50 and $85 omakase options. I was also thinking Ippudo or Momofuku Noodle Bar for a lunch or dinner. But I'm sure there's a local ramen place that's better
Also might see David Byrne but man it's expensive and I saw him twice on tour. If I can nah those $39 day of tickets it'd be worth it though
Also going to eat all of the pizza. All of it.

Top 3 za spots imo are Joe's, Lucali's, and John's on Bleecker in that order. Lucali's will have a crazy wait if they're open, Joe's is by the slice, and John's is by the pie. John's might be good with the fam as it's kinda touristy too but super worth it.
Momofuku Noodle Bar is awesome too. Advise getting there 15-20 mins before they open.

I actually had Joe's and John's picked out. Did some research and that little area off Bleecker is apparently great for pizza so I was definitely gonna go over there. Not sure I'm gonna make it to Brooklyn during this trip sadly And yeah I planned on bringing the fam along for the pizza meal. The sushi and ramen meals they'd be much less interested in

Ippudo is great but it's always a crazy wait. Where are you staying?

Ippudo is great but it's always a crazy wait. Where are you staying? The Crowne Plaza right by times square. I would have picked a quieter area but I get why they picked that.
