Not feeling the new Fleet Foxes, but I do like the new Beach Fossils.

It's Friday! Which means new music yo. New music, new board, new Tim. Not really tho. AOTW: Girlpool - Powerplant It's just a fun record all around. Again, nothing groundbreaking, just a fun rock pop album that has crazy good sugary hooks and lots of melody. I've jammed it a few times since it's leak. Love it. Also out today: PWR BTTM: Pageant - I don't really like their music that much, but eh, I'll give it a shot, regardless of the recent developments. Paramore: After Laughter - I won't be listening to this. Spencer Radcliffe & Everyone Else: Enjoy The Great Outdoors Dreamcar: Dreamcar First Hate: A Prayer For The Unemployed Jonathan Rado: Born To Run Johnny Jewel: Windswept - this actually came out 2 days ago on Spotify. Now that I look at this list, I don't think there's anything else really worth listening to outside of the Jewel record, and that's a big maybe for me. Regardless, hope ya'll find something worth listening to today. Here's the whole list as usual: www.stereogum.com/1939965/album-of-the-week-pwr-bttm-pageant/franchises/album-of-the-week/

Paramore: After Laughter - I won't be listening to this. aw come on, even p4k is covering it! (what is life anymore) what's even funnier to me is that in their "8 albums out today" they unsurprisingly omitted PWR BTTM. Despite covering the debacle quite a bit.

It is more on the dream pop side than I usually prefer but "Goodbye" is a great song. It is on Spotify if you want to check it out.

This was decent. But yeah, definitely not really shoegaze. The related artists tab in Spotify was confusing. Lot of soft rock lol.

Paramore: After Laughter - I won't be listening to this. aw come on, even p4k is covering it! (what is life anymore) Guys I'm two listens in but I am saddened to say this may be their weakest album. The first three songs are fun (the two previously-released singles are part of this opening) and then it gets real blah. Fingers crossed for a Riot! set.

I've spent some time with this in my car (had to get the CD set - it comes with a little book where Daniel Handler interviews Stephin about each of the songs). It's definitely better than the last 2 MF albums, but it doesn't have the amazing good/bad song ratio 69 Love Songs does (though that may just be an impossible standard). My favorite cuts: Judy Garland They're Killing Children Over There Danceteria! Have You Seen it in the Snow? You Can Never Go Back to New York I Wish I Had Pictures

I'm not gonna lie...I really love this album. It's very poppy compared to their previous albums which is a nice change of pace.
