Man this is one of the few bands I really want to see but probably never will. Them and Bloc Party were the first bands I ever really got into. They haven't done the US in years.

what did you think of these? The Kikagaku album was a nice trip, especially In A Coil. Didn't give Mythic Sunship a lot of play.

Big fan of both. I mean, the guitar tones are right up my alley, so I'm an easy sell, but they're both in my top ten for the year so far.

VERY tasty stoner/doom metal. vocals aren't too abrasive for anyone usually put off by that sorta thing.

I'm not gonna lie...I really love this album. It's very poppy compared to their previous albums which is a nice change of pace. 7.5 on P4k WATTBA

Their encore set apparently (and keep in mind, I'm no Coheed expert) was 45 minutes long but only contained 4 songs. Sounded pretty awesome based on their description.

yeah i mean the album they're playing is already an hour long and i dont think theyve ever done more than 90 minutes so i figured it'd only be a few songs in the encore -- but one of the obvious choices that they always play is like 10 minutes so that makes sense. C&C are consistently one of my favorite live acts (im in the 20's, im pretty sure) so even if they were touring a shit album, i'd go. but they're playing an album that's still in my Top 5 GOAT so

Making a weak attempt at catching up on 2017 releases - I've been doing horribly so far. Finally listened to Flying Microtonal Banana. I like it, but it wasn't as exhilarating as I remember Nonagon Infinity being.
Still can't make it all the way through Father John Misty.
After Laughter is still just ok. I really want Pitchfork to go back and review Brand New Eyes; I think that one has actually aged the best and Ryan Dombal kind of retroactively praised it in his review for this latest one.
DAMN. is still awesome.

Unfortunately I have yet to find my way back into the [ ], so I may have to wait for the actual release date. I did, however, listen to Spoon, Brian Eno, and Los Campesinos!. 2/3.
