Did not expect The Killers to release a good album in 2020.

This was decent though I don't think there's any songs on here that come close to as good as Turn Off the TV

Not just shilling for a friend, but Eli Winter - a buddy of mine from college, and one of the best guitarists I've ever seen - put out a gorgeous new record today, Unbecoming. Would recommend trying the 22-minute opener for fans of Jack Rose / Daniel Bachman-styled fingerpicked guitar. But the second track, "Maroon," is my favorite and prolly the most Board Friendly. It features pedal steel and brushed drums and is reminiscent of William Tyler and instrumental Steve Gunn. Check it out! Aquarium Drunkard is a fan, you may be too!

On my 2nd listen today, I forgot how awesome this album is. I remember running out to SunCoast to grab this album after hearing the single “Not The Same” in THPS 3. One of these days, Riot Fest will book Bodyjar to do a greatest hits set.

This is amazing. Allmans show from five weeks before Duane passed, one of the only times he played Blue Sky live with Dickey, and that version is simply breathtaking. Probably the best Allmans show I've heard to date.

Arbee would probably be amused that people still give a shit about the Allman Bros. round here

Arbee would probably be amused that people still give a shit about the Allman Bros. round here I'm a little too Board-New to fully get this joke, but once my gf's dad asked me what book I was reading, and when I said Gregg Allman's memoir, he laughed and said he was surprised anybody actually wrote a book about them. Feels like similar energy.

I hadn't heard this in a long time and just practically had an out of body experience hearing All These Things I've Done super loud. For a few minutes, I was not on this current timeline and was smiling. Thank you, Mr. Flowers. I'm sorry I badmouthed your new song.

It’s just that almost everything they’ve done since then has, rightly or wrongly, made people forget that

I've been listening to Blaze Foley every day for weeks. This is a truly incredible collection of songs. Sometimes funny, often devastating, almost all of them worthy of being canonical.

I really thought more people on the board would be going nuts over this album Caught up on a few from last week too. New Bright Eyes is fine, but nothing really stood out of the first listen. Secret Machines was okay too, but again nothing really stood out I actually... liked the new Killers??? What is this year coming to?? Also thanks to munkivelli for pointing out that Dikembe album, that hit the spot.

Did not expect The Killers to release a good album in 2020. I listened to this today as well. It's not their greatest, but it was pretty good. Exceeded my expectations.

Been coming back to this more and more as the year goes on. It's growing on me - and feels very akin to - that Amen Dunes record from 2018. Definitely going to be a year-end favorite.

This is really good - kind of a weird mix between Paul Simon and John Vanderslice, which is probably completely off, but it's what I'm hearing.

These are both remarkably good. I think my two favorite albums of August so far (Duval Timothy - Help and Daniel Blumberg - On&On)

This album feels like a warm embrace - I could listen to "Come To Life" on repeat forever and that'd be okay

Debut album by Girl Friday is pretty good. RIYL Ganser, Illuminati hotties, THICK, Ohmme, etc.
