This got a meh review from P4K but it is so god damn good. She toured with Lucy Dacus a couple years ago, and fans of hers with definitely dig this. Strong Julia Jacklin vibes as well (Fenne Lily - BREACH)

It's a Radiohead b-sides kinda day. "Four Minute Warning" is a top tier RH track.

I dig "Bangers & Mash" specifically b/c when performed live it's Thom doing the drums and he's possessed.

I'm still a week or two behind on new releases, but I got around to this new Molly Tuttle covers LP today and it was really nice. Great song selection (Arthur Russell! 80s Dead! Twigs! Karen Dalton!) and fabulous instrumentation, of course. This YYY's cover was my fave.

Maybe this belongs in the Playlist thread, but I'm gonna post here first. I signed up for the Aquarium Drunkard Patreon last month and have really been enjoying the downloads of their weekly XMU show, finding lots of really cool stuff on there / remembering great stuff that I'd neglected. I'm keeping a running Spotify playlist of the tracks that caught my attention, if you wanna follow along / check it out, here's the link:
Edit, fuck it, I can't get the Spotify embed to work. Here's the URL:

This is still one of the best albums to come out this year. Which normally wouldn't be a thing worth repeating but given it came out in January and this year was not that year back then, it's worth repeating

Which normally wouldn't be a thing worth repeating but given it came out in January and this year was not that year back then, it's worth repeating I listened to this a whole bunch back in February and it was an instant favorite. But now it reminds me of that pre-lockdown world and I haven’t been returning to it as much. Still a top ten AOTY tho, maybe I’ll throw it back on today. “The Moon” is also up there w/ my fave songs of this year.
