Yes I thought it was very good. Mould is a big blind spot which makes no sense given what I listen to but hey better late than never right? Other olds may chime in with further listening recommendations Definitely the Beaster ep, which was basically outtakes from Copper Blue. Some of Sugar's best stuff is on there. I loved File Under Easy Listening at the time, but it definitely has not stood the test of time. His hubcap album (technically self titled) was probably my favorite post-Sugar one, but I don't think it's on spotify right now. Silver Age, Sunshine Rock and his newest Blue Hearts are the best of his solo material from the last 20 years or so. Workbook and Black Sheets of Rain had some great stuff from the pre-Sugar era.

This is excellent. If you were put off by the last two Cave records for some reason, this is tonally opposite. There's some bangers here.

Conway just doesn't miss ladies and gentlemen of this message board. If you're not listening to him you're missing out. This is solid, and there's some really excellent stretches on the first half. One of the reasons I haven't gotten into most of Conway's stuff is the misogyny, which is an issue for me here on the second half.

This was good, but not nearly as abrasive as the last two albums. Working my way through Cloud Nothings, which is fine in the first half. Not sure if it's the same album they put up on soundcloud a few weeks ago.

Like most of their output since 2014 there's some really nice songs on here but ultimately nothing new. It is odd to have a band like this follow me around throughout young adulthood.

This is really stunning. I'm enjoying it way more than I thought I would, even with the UK album hype

This is excellent. If you were put off by the last two Cave records for some reason, this is tonally opposite. There's some bangers here. Wow, I really loved this on first listen. His last two were great, but they were so heavy that I may end up getting more replay value out of this one. Also, I was very much not prepared for "White Elephant" to turn into a majestic banger. That was awesome.

That was awesome. It's hard for me to compare any of them truthfully, but I get what you're saying. This one does seem lighter in tone, but after reading the lyrics for my review it's still pretty heavy thematically. Definitely more of that ambiguity that he's moved into during this phase. And "White Elephant" reminds me of Murder Ballads tracks like "Stagger Lee" so much, even if they are vastly different.

Nick Cave and Juliens new albums are so good. The opening track for Julien is top tier.

spotify recommended this based on the other emo bands I listen to, and it was pretty much spot on. Recommended for munkivelli and any other emo inclined people (Barely Civil - I'll Figure This Out)

This is gonna be a great year for guitar soli, I can feel it. The genre has really been having a renaissance over the last decade, and I think the next generation is here to carry Jack Rose's torch forward. Anyways, this Rob Noyes record is spectacular and dense. Really gorgeous stuff. Also been really feeling that Yasmin Williams record lately too!

I'm such a sucker for these guys. Loved Wildflower and thought this was good when it originally came out but at this point it has probably surpassed Wildflower. Has some obvious duds but still great overall. Seems absolutely insane that they didn't structure it so Wherever You Go to Gold Sky as the closing sequence.
