Listening to the full record on Spotify. Tasty thrash.

I keep coming back to this one. A very healing record.

This was aright, but then one song that had the best riff (I think it was How Many Times?) had him saying the "r" word several times. So yeah, that ruined that fast.

Google tells me the song with the r word is “Your Mom.”

it is a shame that the new serj tankian track about butchering, raping, killing, and burning, called "your mom," contains the R word
i agree!

New LDR has some great tracks but I did not like it as much as NFRW

Amazing how much more interested I would be in this new Lana album if she had just, like, not posted those weird diatribes online last year. NFR was so good tho, that I'll get around to this eventually this weekend.

Also, I've stanned for Eli before on here, and I'm gonna do it again. This duo record w/ Cameron Knowles is possibly his best work yet, tho last year's Unbecoming was a triumph too. Dude is one of the best solo guitar players in world right now, and his ear for melody is incredible.
Massive RIYL: Yasmin Williams, Jack Rose, William Tyler, Marissa Anderson, Ryley Walker, Daniel Bachman, etc. etc. He and Yasmin are leading a new school of guitar soli and it's fucking awesome.

Chemtrails is fine, nothing special, and better than most of her pre-NFR material. But ultimately in the span of 2 years Lana had overstayed her welcome with me.
Really digging New Bums and New Pagans today. Also finally caught up on Valerie June, Harmony Woods, and Adult Mom. All worth your time.

Felt like listening to "It's Raining Today" (one of the best songs ever, full stop) and stuck around for the rest of 3 and 4. I revisit these about once a year or so and they knock me out every time. And tho I'm not usually a big film guy, I kinda want to finally check out The Seventh Seal. Maybe sometime this week? We'll see.

I'm embarrassed to admit the length of time this CD got exclusive airplay in my car's CD player in high school.

Oh my fuck this is incredible. I've been on a big Richard and Linda Thompson kick this year, but my only experience with Fairport was Liege and Leaf. "A Sailor's Life" on here is just mindblowing. Like an A-tier folk ballad that explodes into one of the best jams I think I've legitimately ever heard. Rest of the album rips too, especially the two Dylan covers that close it out, but I can't recommend A Sailor's Life enough.

New album pls Joanna But seriously: few songs put a smile on my face as consistently as "Inflammatory Writ" I was reading that after having her kid and not playing for a while she basically had to re-teach herself the harp. She was ready to go for that 2019 tour but I guess it took some work. Would love new music from her but I’m gonna guess that doesn’t happen for a while.
