I just put it on but if the first 30 seconds of the first song is any indication this Adele album is gonna be a real snoozer.

The first track is good, the last couple are pretty good, but a lot of it feels bad and/or forgettable to me

Guess there's a reason it's the #1 album in America. It's cause we're a dumb, boring people.

Catching up on July releases and the Yola album is really great.
Immediately bought tickets to her Thalia show in February.

Starting to think this might actually be my favorite Talking Heads album? I used to be a big Buildings and Food partisan, but this is hitting hard right now.

This was incredible - shoutout to Tweet for placing this high in his AOTY list, convinced me to check it out this morning. Also listened to Ka's album today, but this one connected with me much more.

That's actually Timbo's list, not mine, but I'll take credit all the same as I am an egomanic.

I listened to this William Strings fella today.
It was fine.
Not sure of the cult like obsession of him on here but better him than like the Lumineers or some nonsense.

I'd go to that show to watch 6 songs and then go drink at Simone's the rest of the night. Sign me up, XRT.

Two jazz records I've been giving a lot of play to lately. One old, one new. Would highly recommend the track "Traneing In" from the Grossmann record, for any jazz-inclined boarders.

Oh yea, and these two are great too! International Anthem does not miss, folks! The Irreversible Entanglements record is my new favorite of their's, and might be my favorite Moor Mother project I've heard, tho I'm usually kinda hit-or-miss with her. Ben Lamar Gay record is also great, tho I def prefer the IE record as a whole. Opening track is a stunner, boosted by a collab with OHMME. As typical for BLG, the whole is stylistically uncategorizable and it rewards repeat listens.

I haven’t listened to this yet but Navy Blue is great and his feature on Wiki’s album references Appa and Momo so A+ all around.

This has been in somewhat steady rotation throughout the year, but it really hit hard today for some reason. What a beautiful piece of music.

I went back to the Turnstile album and it's better than I remember. Still not sure why it's so high on all these lists but maybe I gotta get puked on at Metro to have that part click.
