Earl album- good not great, probably going back to it
Cordae- Fine, will probably not go back to it. The best thing about this guy is that he's dating Naomi Osaka I feel like
Bonobo- listening now, Pitchfork panned it this morning so I assume it'll at least be Good. Still should be on the Coachella lineup why is this guy not on the Coachella lineup who dropped the ball on that one

Garcia Peoples album is really good for the first 3 songs but I've been struggling to find the groove on the back half

Isn’t it great to live in a country where we can have contrarian takes like this?

Yeah this might be the most I've enjoyed him...ever? OPN absolutely killed it. This just has a great aesthetic running throughout. Hard to imagine this not being my AOTY at this point.

First time listening to a Kris album and it was "fine" but I can't claim I'm angling to go back to it. He is objectively a goat tho Beat Happening is still weird after all these years which is good to know tbh

His self-titled and Silver Tongued Devil are both front-to-back classics.

If anyone's interested, here's a playlist of my 20 favorite Krisofferson tracks that I made a few years ago before seeing him live:

Pretty good as expected. Reminded me a ton of hearing Franz Ferdinand for the first time way back when. Have to miss their show here since it's Perfume Genius night.

This was pretty good too, definitely more upbeat than Magdalene. A ton of guests too, but it's not too distracting.

Yeah, I like it too. Magdalene was gonna be tough to follow, but this is great in an entirely different way.

I did listen to Bat Out of Hell for the first time today and it's stunning given my theatre background this never made it to my ears before. I get why it's an all timer!

This album is so fucking good. All of the buzz is completely deserved. (Yard Act - The Overload)

Yea it feels completely timeless to me. Succinct, fully-formed, and is uniquely comforting through change, loss, stress, and cold weather lmao. A perfect album.

Everything from O Superman through the end of this album is stunning. Forgot how incredible Laurie is. I can't believe "Example #22" was made in 1982, just mind-blowing.

Tons of new releases today, new Eels, Cloakroom, M0, Pom Poko (ep)... Also, Jacques Greene put out a new ep I did not know was on its way. Listening to that now.

Going back to that Garcia Peoples record, stand by my take that "Tough Freaks" through the end is perfect. First two tracks kinda suck and that's weird.
"Here We Are" is gorgeous.

People keep referencing come EP of hers that came out that I have absolutely no recollection of. I must not be the demographic.
Pinegrove and Cloakroom put out OK albums. This Modern Nature album I should like more but listening to it at 38,000 feet was probably not the ideal setting so I'll try it again. I would like Goodson or some other modern hip-hop knower to explain why this Babyface Ray guy is good cause I turned it off half way thru.

I feel like this is the biggest day of new releases since the pandemic started. Going to take a sabbatical to listen to Animal Collective/Mitski/Cate Le Bon

Mitski album is good, kinda weird to me that the conversation has mostly been how different and moody it is. To me it mostly sounds like songs that could have been on Be the Cowboy. A couple of duds but I really enjoyed it for the most part.
New Animal Collective is great. Has a couple songs that I would say are among my favorite of theirs
