A couple years from the cutoff but nice try After that Stranger Things episode, is Metallica actually zoomer-core? (asks another baby millennial / metallica agnostic)

I listened to this one (Taper's Choice - The History of Taper's Choice) four times today. Easily one of my favorite records of the year and absolutely the best emerging jam band.* This is their first proper record, after releasing 5 self-titled recordings of long-form jams. For those not aware, Taper's Choice is also a super group of sorts, feat. Dave Harrington (Darkside), Alex Bleeker (Real Estate), and Chris Tomson (Vampire Weekend). *Unless, of course, this still includes Garcia Peoples

She played a couple of these for the first time at Coachella and I turned to my girlfriend and said "if the rest of the album sounds like these, it's an AOTY contender". As usual, I am right.

What was your favorite anti-Semitic feature on this album I didn't really catch the verse until the 2nd go round admittedly, and I haven't listened to the album since. Given this dogshit statement she released today, dunno if I will again. It's not an impossible case that Jason Aldean made a better statement. And it makes me feel like she thinks I'm a stupid moron, which I am perfectly capable of feeling on my own all the time

This is fantastic. Didn't think a 19-track, hour-long Clientele album would do it for me, but it delivers. I plan to spend a lot of time with this one as the seasons (hopefully) change.

Team RATBOYS should be happy with this one, I especially liked It's Alive! Another solid Open Mike Eagle album too, good day for new music

Yeah there’s like 15 albums that came out today that I have an interest in. Really enjoyed the new turnpike troubadours. Zach Bryan album is mostly good with some kinda meh tunes- gotta wonder if Kacey musgraves will make any good music ever again

Really dug The Armed and exciting!!excellent!! albums... Zach Bryan was decent, but I preferred his last album on first listen. I feel like I have a bunch more I need to check out from this week, but maybe I'll slow my roll a bit, unless there's anything anyone thinks I need to check out now.

Only new one that was a bit of a snooze today was the new Toro y Moi ep. It was an acoustic ep, so that was unexpected from him

Ratboys album ripped - wouldn’t expect anything less from them. Didn’t hit as hard as their last record, but I’m still gonna listen to it 10-20 more times this month haha
Zach Bryan album didn’t grab me, again. Oh well.
Waiting for the right time/place for the new/final Jaimie Branch. Maybe sometime tomorrow.

Morgan wade album had some really great singles but was kinda whatever as an album
Open Mike Eagle had another solid one. I still go back to Brick Body Kids Still Daydream way more than anything in his catalog
