Vitalogy is my favorite. There's some weird shit on there, but also some killer songs. Vs. is also quite good.

No Code show in Moline still my favorite show I've been to Ya this show ruled. My dad didn’t know like any of that album and I felt bad, but they played good stuff after that.

First 3 Pearl Jam albums remain v v good. I should probably like No Code and Yield more but I don't. I also really like "Just Breathe" for some reason I've never really been able to explain

vs has Leash which automatically makes it the best pearl jam album, sorry Yooo I was gonna say something about Leash in my original post. Easy top 2 or 3 PJ song. Not that it matters, but it's weird that it has the 2nd fewest streams on the record.

Seeing Quasi tonight and revisiting this one, which Sam Coomes played bass on. "See You Later" and "Half Right" are both Top 10 Elliott Smith songs. A beautiful, if spotty, record.

Waiting for the right time/place for the new/final Jaimie Branch. Maybe sometime tomorrow. Yeah this was wonderful Once again reminding folks to listen to Jaimie Branch's remarkable, final record: Fly or Die Fly or Die Fly or Die ((world war)). Some of the most spirited, joyous, genuinely life-affirming music I've heard in ages. Quickly becoming an AOTY favorite.

Big release day!
I've got Tyler Childers, Allison Russell, Irreversible Entanglements, Alabaster dePlume, Yussef Dayes, and Ashley McBryde on the queue. Might check out the Romy solo album too if I hear enough good things about it. How about y'all?

I was looking forward to the new Roison Murphy album, but then she made some transphobic comments online a couple of weeks ago, then issued a non-apologetic apology. So that's a skip at this point. I'll have to see what brooklynvegan and stereogum are recommending this week

The new Olivia Rodrigo album is out and it bangs
Nothing as good as Drivers License, but the pop songs are as good or better than Sour's, and the filler ballads are much stronger.
Also just caught up with the theory that Vampire is about Taylor Swift which I love.

I saved 15 albums out today. Definitely not going to get to them all in. Cannot believe there's a new Sparklehorse album I hope it doesn't suck

No surprises here but both the Olivia and Tyler albums hit Yea the Tyler album was pretty great, but I'm not a fan of his records getting shorter and shorter. For some reason, this feels like less of a Statement release than Country Squire, even tho the latter is only like 7 minutes longer.

Irreversible Entanglements record is a heater. I've always enjoyed them in smaller doses than their full LPs usually run, but this was a killer, concise album.

Tyler Childers album is fun but I don't think something that'll stick with me long, besides maybe a track or two. I like the general vibe of it though and what he was doing. Bit of a bummer that it's not even 30 minutes though. "Percheron Mules" really stuck out, that's a super fun honky tonk sort of song.
Olivia Rodrigo album had a lot of promise from the start, I think both singles are really fun and the first track was fun, but I thought the album had a lot of duds and wasn't as good as SOUR. The more ballad songs on it really didn't do it for me at all. It had some good moments at points but just too many songs I didn't really care for. The opener, singles, "ballad of a homeschooled girl", "get him back", and "love is embarassing" all stood out. "Pretty isn't Pretty" isn't bad either but I feel like the same song has been done and done better by multiple indie rock bands. Rest of the album really didn't do it for me. Still not a terrible second album, and I think she's one of the more fun pop stars right now in general

Slowdive's album debuted in the UK top 10 at number 6. Not bad for porridge.

Cannot believe there's a new Sparklehorse album I hope it doesn't suck Dunno if I'm supposed to be hearing this but I am and it's a flashback to 2010. First two songs are the highlights so far but I expect I'm going back to this a lot.
