Someone remind me to listen to it again in like ~2 weeks
It was pretty clear after like 3 songs that I should’ve been sitting down and listening instead of moving boxes or whatever

Tons good new options today New Fred Again is such a massive improvement over the Brian Eno one from last year. Really great again. just stand there was fantastic, the Emmylou Harris sample in where will i be was great too (they have her as "Emmy Lou Harris" in the Tidal credits) Toro y Moi was great as usual too. A nice little cover of Broken Social Scene thrown in there too. Finishing the Jonsi album now, all instrumental but it's his usual thing, so I'm good with it. More upbeat than the most recent Sigur Ros album too

From the pre-hype, I thought this Fcukers ep was going to be a little more wild or crazy, but it's still decent electronic/pop

What is your favorite song off Manning Fireworks and why is it "Wristwatch"? It’s still “She’s Leaving You” but Joker Lips, Wristwatch, Rip Torn, and On My Knees all stood out on first listen

Been looping the Lenderman album all day. So goddamn good. Not sure if there’s a clear best track to me but I think it’s either Wristwatch or You Don’t Know the Shape I’m In. Or maybe it’s On My Knees. Fuck.

I am:
A.) Really glad he's playing one of my favorite venues in Denver and that I snagged a ticket. B.) Incredibly bummed I have to wait until late February for said show.

every time On My Knees starts I think its Supersonic and how dope it would be if Oasis Supersonic was just dropped in the middle of an mj lenderman album

The new MJ Lenderman album is fantastic. I also listened to this I am a huge pop-punk stan and I had a difficult time making it through this one (I shut it off halfway through the last song, so technically,I didn't make it through it) MJ Lenderman and Fred Again albums were cool tho.

What is your favorite song off Manning Fireworks and why is it "Wristwatch"? Just listened to it twice in a row while cleaning the apartment - early favorite is "You Don't Know The Shape I'm In," but "Rip Torn" was a winner too. Excellent record, and a great follow up to what has probably been one of my 2 or 3 most-listened-to LPs of the 2020s thus far.

Another one that's been creeping up my 2024 rankings as the year goes on. "The World's Biggest Paving Slab" deserves to be an indie classic.
