I like all of STL's dumb food. That weird Provel pizza, gooey butter cake, toasted ravioli, etc. All stupid and good. Okay, but why would someone NOT like gooey butter cake and/or toasted ravioli? Also, if any of you ever shop at Dom's, you can find the Labriola deep dish in the freezer section. |

had middlebrow's tavern-style last night finally. had the birreria (from zaragoza) pizza and sausage. they were both super good - talk about a cracker-thin and crispy crust - but i actually prefer their normal 'za.

One of my favorite restaurant groups here in Houston opened a Midwest Tavern Style pizza restaurant and I've been kind of in love with it

Most recent time was their block party and they burnt the hell out of my pizza the point that it was barely edible but I was the only one with that problem and was hungry enough that I didn’t really feel like asking for a replacement or waiting. Prior time the sauce on a couple of the pizzas tasted off and I didn’t feel well afterwards but admittedly that could just be my body doing weird things and me conflating the two, though E had a similar issue with it. |

Just to keep the theme going, we tried out a new Italian place that just opened by us in Hoffman, Bella Napoli. Really good wood fire pizza. Definitely recommend the next time everyone is heading for their regular visits out here
