Going to New Orleans at the end of July. Have never been before. We're staying at a place close to the French Quarter. Had enough Rapid Rewards points for a free round trip flight.

Check out the WW2 museum if you're interested at that even a slight bit, it's huge and really cool. I also thought the Jazz museum was kinda cool. And I really enjoyed catching a show at Preservation Hall (they do them daily, 2-4 times a day) though that room is not air conditioned and can get pretty hot in the summer be ready for that.

Barcelona was fantastic again, I would move there in a heartbeat given the opportunity at this point. Did a shit ton of walking, something like 8 miles every day between the festival and just exploring. Had great paella at the place I went to in 2022 again, that was the only restaurant I repeated.
Because of the usual airline booking stupidity (would have been $1500 for a direct flight back home, or half that to stop in Lisbon, Istanbul or Warsaw), I stayed one night in Warsaw on the way back home. I'm Polish on both sides of my family, and no one in my family since my great grandparents have been there. So that was an easy choice, plus it gave me the most time to spend there vs. the other two cities. Stayed at a nice hotel in the Centrum part of the city, did a ton of walking again to the river and then to the old section of the town, that was pretty great. My only problem was I arrived at like 5 PM and all of the museums were closed by then, but that was fine.
I had no idea that Poland was not part of the EU, so I was shocked when I saw that it would cost like 50 polish dollars to get from the airport to my hotel, since it was like 8 miles. But then I checked and the polish dollar is worth 0.25 USD, so that was pretty nice.
Plus on the 9 hour flight back home I had a row of seats all to myself, that all in all it was a pretty great trip.

Poland is part of the EU, but hasn’t officially adopted the Euro yet.

My flight to Vegas had to return to the gate because some dude was drinking his own alcohol before we even took off. Dude was removed and now we're just sitting here. Our dinner plans are for sure fucked, I'm just hoping to still get there in time for the show.

Gramaphone in the grove for terrific sandwiches and has better hours. Humphreys and Fieldhouse are bars near chaifetz that will be rocking for pregame. Enjoy the show. I might be there tomorrow but headed to Orville peck tonight.
