I'm at Publican now. They told me they thought about walking out but once they knew I was coming they knew they couldn't do that to me.

That reminds me I should have asked for aioli for my fries instead of using the ketchup provided.

My flight is delayed three hours. Travel sucks!

I guess a lot of people haven't caught on to that being available? Figured it'd be like TSA Pre and more people would pay a small amount for some greater convenience, but I haven't been outside of the A group in a long time.

I'm doing a 10 day trip in Ireland with the family in September. Really excited for that since I've always wanted to go there.

I've been doing the early bird check-in lately but forgot on this flight and got A32 by magic!
Then I was dicking around and missed my boarding group but still got a nice seat.

Oh no, we got it by checking in right at 24 hours beforehand which was the best part of it

huh, a little surprising that icelandair is the first to go TATL from kansas city. but i guess it does make sense since they'll likely run a 757 on that route whereas other european airlines would probably have to send something with more capacity.

Houston has to be the last place in the country without one of those Icelandic airlines.
Was originally jealous when I saw all their new cities but when you go into it, it still comes out to at least $600 in most the cities and there's been tons of airfare deals to Europe in the $400-600 range from Houston anyways.

They're always offering deals. My wife and I went to Iceland for less than $400 round trip via Icelandair.

It's basically an international version of Southwest.

With Spirit tendencies for sure it seems like. You only get a personal item for the base price, right?

Nah it's not like Spirit at all. I didn't get that vibe at least.

i think that's WOW. they're the real low-cost carrier. Yup. I've heard this as well. I've flown Icelandair a few times now, including once to get to Paris, and I haven't had any issues. You can sit there and watch Bjork concerts for the entire flight, too.

Do you guys have Wow Air?
I can now fly to continental Europe from Eastern Canada via Reykjavik for as little as USD225 roundtrip!

Yeah that's the one we're comparing to Spirit Airlines. I'd rather spend the extra money if I'm going overseas to at least have a semi-comfortable flight.

I was going to fly Wow back from Iceland two years ago before the ATP Fest got cancelled (and subsequently, my entire trip). I ended up getting a 'your flight is delayed' message the morning of I was supposed to fly back, ha ha.

I'm super split on whether I want to go to Europe this year (probably Berlin), probably would do Saturday to Saturday over Labor day week, or just split my vacation days left up a bit more and take smaller trips while saving to do a much bigger Europe trip in 2019. I already used half my vacation days for 2018 last week so I'm a bit limited, and I do like having it spread out some.
I feel like I need to decide on this Europe thing ASAP because I don't even have a passport yet and will need to start saving for it. If I stick to smaller trips I don't need to make any decisions right now

Like what constitutes "bigger"?
